The Samsung Eternity has an attractive design with a intuitive touch-screen interface. It offers a solid assortment of multimedia features and good call quality. It also has impressive battery life.
The Samsung Eternity's virtual keyboard isn't available when entering message recipients. It lacks a camera flash, Wi-Fi and voice dialing and the 3G connectivity could be stronger.
The Samsung Eternity succeeds as a multimedia device, but without Wi-Fi and full e-mail support, it stops well short of being a business-friendly device.

Likes; battery life was alright, not the best it could have been, but it held up for me really well. (TIP! turn the brightness down on the phone when you don't need to have it real bright; dim during:classes, movies, bed-time, and work. brightness during:while you're outside on a really bright day. trust me, it helps.) I texted a lot on the phone while I had it, and the QWERTY was awesome, so was T9, it would remember any word you put. The camera was awesome too, I took a lot of good pictures with it. It can take I think any MiniSD card you could find. Most phones only take a certain type, but that bad boy took anything. It was as durable as a Samsung could get. Only in a silicone case I threw the phone on a wooden floor and all that happened was the back of it came slightly undone but never fell off. I had a few dings on it from random drops at the barn and it still worked. The widgets were very helpful too. And the calendar on screen.
Dislikes; the fact that sometimes it would randomly freeze, I've had that problem with about every phone I've ever had though, you just can't get away from it. I don't know what the heck happened, but somehow it kept connecting to the internet without anything being activated on it...I never even WENT to the internet and it did it on its own.
I miss this phone like crazy bad. I hope my review helped, and trust me, you cannot go wrong with a Samsung. This phone is great for first-time touchscreen users and I highly recommend. Samsung didn't do bad at all with their first ever touchscreen. I'll buy Samsung again.
A very solid phone indeed. It's good accurate touch screen quality. Crystal clear display and easy access menus. Very user friendly and very durable. This phone's only real disadvantage to other upper end quality phones is probably the fact that it doesn't really come with a great selection of apps, or even just free apps. I think it has one free application which would be the yellow pages map book.
The 3 Megapixel camera is probably the best feature on this phone. The camera takes great pictures in good lighting although darker rooms make less appealing photo opportunities. With plenty of fun effects and entertaining options to tweak your photos, you could spend hours just customizing your photos.
I will also mention that the texting with this phone is very versatile and efficient. The only thing my wife has mentioned as a down fall is the issue with manual texting. It is difficult to speed text manually when you come across words such as; "need" whereas the word requires you to press number "3" twice in a row. Otherwise, texting flows smoothly and accurately with the standard T9 auto text, or flipping the phone horizontally and activating the "qwerty" keyboard option.
Ive owned this phone for 3.5 - 4 years. Never had any real problems with it. Its only now starting to act up a little bit. Battery still lasts quite a long time. Web browser lets me do what I need to do. The camera does its job very well. Small and stylish... Its been good to me.
Full QWERTY Keyboard to text, email and IM

Capture high-res pictures with built-in 3.0MP camera
Real-time traffic alerts with AT&T Navigator
The phone is nice. It is good back then but there are better devices. It is a cheap device if you need it in a hurry. I noticed I can't text when I am in a call. Can't really multi task. The internet browser is fast and easy to use.
I decided to buy this phone to upgrade my current service. I was looking for a phone that offered internet access as well as other options. The phone has a 3.0 megapixel camera that takes very good pictures. I also like the fact that contacts can be on a list of favorites so you can easily choose them to make calls. Another great feature of this phone is being able to turn the screen sideways for easier texting or typing.
The Eternity is about the size of a deck of cards, fits easily in my purse, pocket or cell phone holder. The covers are awesome and help to personalize the phone.
The only problem I have had is when using the internet feature I have to touch the screen twice to access some sites. It is slower than a regular computer, but have been able to access most things I need to when not at home.
I have been using the phone for just over a week and have no complaints. No real problems with the internet connection and the phone has been easy to use, calls are clear and no problems thus far.
