The Samsung Soul offers an attractive, well-constructed design and a unique, intuitive navigation touchpad. Its respectable feature set includes a high-quality camera.
The Samsung Soul lacks important features like voice dialing and GPS. Its call quality wasn't completely reliable.
You won't mistake it for a smartphone, but the Samsung Soul is nonetheless an attractive and well-designed multimedia phone.

This phone, even being a few years old, is a great phone and is highly recommended for anyone who likes having a multimedia phone that has the ability to take great photographs. This cell phone's screen also flips around to form a camera, making picture taking even better.
A+ Item.
Pros:
*Coming from a big bulky phone this thing is LIGHT!
*Pictures come out amazing for a camera phone (some neat editing features)
*Keypad is flat, but has ridges separating each key
*The flash can actually be used as a flashlight when the phone is closed
*Speaker phone is loud and clear...people have told me they can't tell that I have them on speaker
*Clear calls
*Speaker works when the phone closed
*Rings very loud
*Can set sounds as ringtones as long as you text them to yourself
*Battery life has been pretty good (really haven't seen how long it can go without charging)
*Has Voice entry for texts
*Living Wallpaper is a cool idea, though I am not a fan of the actual camera theme on the phone.
*Navigation keys can be customized
*Cute/Quirky dial fonts and keypad sounds
*My old phone would only store 50 messages in the inbox and the sent folder...I don't know if there is a limit on this phone, but I'm around 80 messages for both the inbox and the sent folder
Cons:
*I have small hands...it's a little awkward to hold for me, but I'm getting used to it.
*Can't learn/add words to the dictionary
*You have to hold one of the buttons on the side to see the time when the flip is closed
*Vibrate could be a bit stronger
*Can't set different text sounds for different contacts
*Can't set volume settings from any of the side keys when the flip is closed
This phone does it all, plus it has a camera designed to work (get this) like an actual camera that takes darn good pictures... it is durable and gets great reception. I've owned one for almost 2 years and it is still solid. I got another one through ebay for my wife because her cheapo LG broke in half... that will not happen to the flipshot guaranteed!
I was recently due for an upgrade on Verizon but was severely disappointed by the options for phones through Verizon without a data plan! There are maybe 6 options and one doesn't even have a camera! So, I hit Ebay in search of something else. I found this Samsung while looking for a replacement for my Juke which I had for over 3 years before it finally died. So I'm impressed with Samsung quality already.I am NOT easy on phones. I drop them constantly. In fact I dropped this one on the concrete the very first time I opened it. It took it well. Doesn't have a QWERTY keyboard but I prefer not to have one actually. The camera is really nice especially for an older model phone and it does video too. It's not as bulky as I would have thought it would be at all. Reception is good. Battery life is great. It's a sleek looking phone that does the job. If you want a good camera phone without a data plan this one is worth looking at.
The phone build is average and the feature set is standard for a verizon v-cast phone.
The camera quality is good enough for quick day shots but it is definitely not a replacement for a standalone camera.
Typical Verizon cripples the blue-tooth sharing of pictures between phones or your blue-tooth enabled computer so the only way to get pictures off of the camera is through a USB cable (sold separately) or to load them to a Micro SD card and manually transfer them that way. That's what I do because I didn't want another proprietary connector cluttering my desk up.
