Fun to use, NonOEM battery <avg, windows int tricky. Pageplus a good de

No, I would not recommend this product.

1st the phone (Comparisons of Pageplus, T-Mobile, Puretalk and ATT later in this review.) This WINDOWS touch phone has lots of cool features for the price paid ( less than 25% of the original retail) and its been fun since its my first touch, app, 3G phone. It has some quirks such as it easily gets bumped into new settings -1 day suddenly the lock button stopped working until I redid the settings. It kept going into emergency call only -thought it was from shortcut to airplane mode, however after researching I found it was because my home number as an emergency contact when dialed, puts it into Emergency mode (fixed by putting a 1 in front of my contact home number made it different enough). ------

The windows environment however is typical of windows - not obvious where things get stored. After downloading a few apps,I found some were in one location, some in another but not stored in the proper memory location. As the apps were downloaded via the windows live app rather than BREW, perhaps this is why new app shortcuts dont show up (manual on Samsung site is basic). I am very proficient in using computers but this environment is not user friendly for the less tech savvy. If you are not used to a touch screen, you will find this one is easy to send a call to voicemail by accident when pulling it out of your pocket. It seems like any phone with apps uses the battery pretty quickly - mine DID NOT COME with a OEM battery - HAVE SEEN BATTERY ERRORS but the battery does not last nearly as long as my slider did even with just calls, but the slider was not 3G, just TMO web.----- So for now its more fun than any phone Ive owned. I assume Android may be better, and the IPhone probably doesn&t lose track of apps. I ordered a micro SD card that needed FAT 32 formatting offline for the phone to recognize it. I will BUY A OEM OR EXTENDED OEM BATTERY , keep the phone for a few months and then decide on biting the bullet and getting a Iphone or GO BACK TO a EASY TO USE 1 HANDED FLIP PHONE like a military style.
-------
After using T-Mobile flip and slider phones for years, I decided to try a Verizon based touch screen with hopes of better reception. When comparing this phone on the PAGEPLUS network to a Samsung T-369, the reception seems to be marginally better. When using PageP with a older MOTOROLA pull out antenna phone I get much better service. I like the features, customer service and cost of Pageplus, though so far it hasn;t blown away TMO prepaid reception/cost. It does seem like its more often the phone quality than the service- my son hasnt complained about Puretalk (ATT prepaid) since I got it to work on an old 3G Iphone. ----I usually try to buy phones with less than 0.9 SAR, this has ~1.2 and havent seen any greater reception with the higher SAR so will probably go back to lower SAR phone. IPhone 3GS with ATT works well but its not prepaid so maybe thats why. Compared to cheap Virgin Mobile phones and MetroPCS this is probably much better. Wont know until I travel some more.

Great phone for those who know windows mobile & have a verizon account

No, I would not recommend this product.

first of all this was my first windows phone so i did not know what i was getting into. having that said if you are a Verizon wireless member then i am sure you will enjoy this phone, but i think the phone is awesome but the fat that is locked to one network provider is a stinker, and the way that windows app market work it is a down side, i was not able to properly hack the phone to put an android OS on it, and so the only way i founded usable is to get third party developer software & apps to at least operated to use to simply go in the internet & and use you tube, and it also has a decent camera, but after i bought it i has been just sitting in my room getting dusty because of the lack of user costumasation features

Great phone. Just don't let it get too hot or direct sunlight.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This is my first smart phone and I simply adore it. The apps are wonderful. It appears to be very user friendly. The only trouble I am running into is if the phone gets hot the screen turnes pink or green. It won't turn back on until you cool it off. So if you are an indoor person this is the way to go (windows phone). If you are an outdoor person, like me, then you need to go with something else or like me, I use my handsfree bluetooth when I'm outdoors so I don't miss any calls.

A Reliable Phone With Versatile Apps and Graphic Pre-Eminence

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I purchased this phone new in October of 2010 as a first time Smartphone user. The Samsung Omnia II i920's attractive design, good phone quality, reliability of operation, vivid 5.0 megapixel camera and many good apps fulfill my expectations.

The touchscreen is less stressful than small QWERTY keys to the repetitive texter; the email and Opera browsing functionality are well-developed; and I've enjoyed pairing the phone with a Nokia Bluetooth hands free headset. This phone met and exceeded my initial expectations for a first Smart Phone. The Windows 6.5 features may not be perfect, but aren't my main objective in purchasing this phone. I grew up with a Palm PDA and do like the syncing characteristics of my Samsung Omnia.
