I was really really excited to get this phone. The technical specs on it are AMAZING! It is hands down the best phone on the market right now as far as technical specs are concerned....Then the phone FINALLY arrived...
I was a little underwhelmed. Its a great phone but nothing special. I felt like there were too many features I had no use for such as "gyro sensor calibration" and "power saver mode" which only did obvious things like dim screen brightness and turn off the wifi. This phone didnt have nearly enough of the basic features I needed such as a simple "touch screen calibration" or a standalone call log.
I probably should disclose I was switching from an HTC EVO 4g (bought last year when it first came out and sold out everywhere). I felt that the Epic Touch was requiring too many extra key presses as compared to the Evo. I couldnt just click a name in the call log and make a call. I had to click the name then a little box popped up, then I had to click okay then it would finally make the call. I think one click calling is a valuable feature this phone lacked. This may seem like a small thing but it quickly became an annoying extra step as I tried to make calls on the go. i do not like the Touch Wiz interface. I hate it. I have replaced most of the stock apps such as messenger, keyboard, dialer etc with replacement apps. I even use a home screen replacement app. Oh yea this "premium" phone has its own share of "premium" bloatware plus the standard bloatware.
The only upside about this phone is the bigger screen and great graphics. I also like the thinner profile but not the flimsy plastic housing on the back of the phone. This phone is amazingly light especially compared to the Evo. I'm scared I'm going to crush it sometimes. I actually purchased an otterbox type case for the first time ever just for this reason.
Overall, I'm not that impressed with this phone and probably would have been happier sticking with my HTC Evo knowing what I know now. I just might switch back... If you get this phone know the processor is lighting fast and the graphics are amazing. Yet, if your a phone junkie like me at the end of the day you may still feel unsatisfied. I just keep feeling it should have been better than what it was but even with my lackluster review I would still recommend this phone to a friend on the tech specs alone.
This is just a dream phone. i bought this product for personal use. I like the android features about this product also the size of the phone and the 8 mega pixel camera is just awesome. My think battery life is little but other wise no problem at all. As compared to others this mobile is much better and its the best model latest one.

The phone is suppose to be top of the line, but with sprint service and the phones poor radio reception, This phone is Awful! Just look up the problems with the phone, "Loss of Signal", "Phone crashing", "No reception". They finally came out with ICS update and sent that via wifi, almost half the phones started crashing, the battery life because even more horrible. My apps keep crashing, mostly facebook and skyfire or any other internet browser I've tried to use. Definitely don't go with this phone 1st if you don't live in a large city where every area has excellent reception (adequate radio towers) and 2nd if you have a choice of another dual core phone. Its just luck of the apples with this phone and if you get a bad one, It's more than likely a problem they won't address or even try to fix. Just look up all the reviews on google.
I bought this phone in white color about two month ago and it's been one of the best small phone-computer pocket device I had experience recently, since I've tried other devices in the stores, I strongly belive this is one of the few best in the market, very fast dual core procesor, excellent camera both video and still, perfect screen size 4.52", excellent vivid colors, superior speaker, battery is ok. many more features, and would be better depending of the signal quality of you phone service provider you have. Yes I would recommend the GS2 to a friend.
This phone is the best on the market right now. The picture and video quality is straight sick. I can't name any other cell phone with the camera quality of this one. The battery life is a major upgrade from the original Samsung Epic. The screen is mega large which gives you superior video viewing. It's really easy to use and has tons of apps to download from the Android Market. With 16GB of built in memory plus a memory card slot for extra memory, Samsung Epic II is in a class all it's own. This phone definitely lives up to its hype.
