AMAZING!!!! The BEST Feature Phone! No data plan and Not a smart phone!

Howdy! I bought the Samsung Brightisde because my previous phone was acting up, I had the Pantech Cruz. I had a 2 year contract with Verizon Wireless and to save money, I came to eBay looking for a phone. I loved the Samsung Brightside from the beginning. It is beautiful, the screen is big, the keyboard has a nice feel to it when I am texting. I text more than I talk on the phone. The call quality is awesome. It is an upgrade to me because it looks similar to a smart phone but it is a feature (basic) phone. I do not have a data plan because all I do is send and receive text messages and talk on the phone.

I love the camera and video camera. The touch screen is amazing!! It has a neat way to unlock and lock your phone. The images are clear and very easy to read and understand.

I recommend buying a case. I bought one from eBay. The one I have is a hard plastic with a cartoon flower design. It snaps on and will stay until I snap it off.

The memory card slot is located by the battery

-The camera doesn't have a flash
-And some people don’t like how the menu options are always exposed

Overall, if you’re with Verizon and looking for a compact, simple phone to use, this is one of your options. It is easier to use if you have vision problems because the screen is huge.

Smart enough smartphone?

This model is as close as one can come to a smartphone w/o having to
pay for online access as a condition to activate the phone. By purchase
on eBay, I avoided the 2 yr Verizon contract in case I later decide that
I do need Internet access for work requirement or other. Also, some
people prefer to type on a keyboard that does not block part of the screen.

Great messaging phone!

This is a pretty cool phone that has a look and feel of a smartphone, without the expensive data package. the battery life is really good. video and camera pictures are pretty good for a messaging phone. the keyboard has a nice feel to it. the touch screen is really responsive. call quality is really good and the voices are loud and clear. overall, it is one of the best messaging phones verizon has to offer right now.

Bells & whistles don't make up for shortcomings.

This phone has a touch screen as well as a slide out keyboard. I like the keyboard and the screen size is great. The touch screen is another story. The screen is very sensitive, and even when I use the lock sequence, it will unlock itself in my pocket and pocket dial everyone. It turns my volume from silent to high at work and will activate voice commands. It has nice features for a non-smartphone, so it is great if you want a phone like a smartphone without having to pay the price, but you will need to figure out how to carry it without pushing the buttons....I am thinking about a hard case, but have not seen any that will cover the touchscreen. I do like the way you can set your text message to 'sequence' so the entire conversation is grouped together. The battery also does not have a lot of hours between charging. If I forget to charge it overnight, it won't last more than a few hours, so only about 26 hours between charging. I would not buy this again, as the pros don't outweigh the cons for me. The seller was quick and product was new as stated, no complaints with the seller.
