The Samsung Behold has an attractive design with a responsive touch screen. The feature set offers a range of options and call and photo quality meet the mark. Also, T-Mobile's 3G network is lightning fast.
The Samsung Behold lacks Wi-Fi and its memory card slot is in an inconvenient location. Speakerphone quality was just average and the Web browser wasn't quite up to par.
Though it lacks Wi-Fi, the Samsung Behold is a sleek touch-screen phone with a range of features and an easily understood interface.

I've a BB phone that works fine; it flawlessly sync my email accounts and I have no complains up to this point, but when it comes to internet browsing, videos and everything else it fails badly. I started looking for a new phone that provided the best features beyond regular calls and emailing; I didn't want to get an I-phone so I started looking for a unit among the variety of new android phones recently released. I looked at the new Evo from HTC, and a couple of other phones from Samsung (Vibrant and Captivate), all of them are a knock out, and I was ready to go for a Samsung Vibrant (I found out the EVO only works on sim-less networks systems, like Sprint) when I heard of the worldwide release of the Nexus S by Google, by the time I had it in my hands and learned and saw what it does, that was it; I bought it. No regrets whatsoever, on the contrary, the phone responds extremely fast (I understand it comes with a processor that can go 1.5ghz and some more with the right software ), the Superamoled screen is beyond compare on color and also on size (it resembles a small electronic pad), it is unbelievably light in weight in spite of its size and I'm still discovering other features I didn't know it had, like its Hot Spot capability. All in all it's worth every penny it costs.
For a first time "smartphone" user, this phone seems to be the ideal product. The touch screen responds well to taps, presses and slides using your finger. The proprietary features (the dual docks on the screen, the charger/headphone port, the web browser, the operating system, etc) are all user friendly and more or less straight forward. However, for the phone aficionado, this is not the way to go. The phone lags at times and freezes randomly, the web browser is slow (even with the high speed data package with T-Mobile), the number of free apps you can get is extremely limited and the number of paid apps is just as limited (thanks to the proprietary software on the phone), the vibration of the phone is really odd (two buzzes with a mechanism that you can hear when you shake the phone gently), and the battery life is horrendous. Despite the negative, the phone does what it needs to (call, text, browse, store, plays music) and is available for a decent price.
This phone has very sensitive buttons that let you type your texts or phone numbers with your finger nails-giving you much better accuracy than the "pad of your finger" typing used on the G1. One downside is that the incoming and outgoing text list will get full and then you won't get more texts until you delete the old ones, and it takes a VERY long time to delete the entire folder. Also picture mail will always be at the top of your outgoing list, even if it was the oldest text on your phone. The vibrate is very light, and even when turned up on high I will not feel it vibrate from my purse or my pocket. Other than those I really do like the phone.
Pros: Easy to use, 3G WCDMA, IM, OZ email, aGPS, JAVA, Haptic touch, WAP, accelerometer, Widgets, Bluetooth..... Beautiful Design. Battery life is about 4 hours non-stop, Touch screen
Cons: Camera is below average, interface is sometimes slow
Overall: Really good-looking touch screen phone for the beginner
