Samsung BD-D6500 Blu-Ray Player

Seem to be the only one with this problem but I'd thought I'd tell you anyway. After a certain number of hours it's on (plugged in) the sync between audio and video starts to go out of whack. I get skipped frames, dropped audio, etc. And this occurs regardless whether I watch a DivX file, DVD video, etc. from either a USB, local disc, or over a network. It starts with just a few skips then gets worse and worse the longer it's on. After about 10-14 days it's unwatchable. The only thing I can do to fix it is unplug it while it's in playback, wait 10 seconds, then plug it back in (must be done during playback or it will not fix the problem). I have to do this every 10-14 days. Weird problem. It's obviously some sort of problem that only occurs with mine because I have never come across this problem in any forum online. I'd send it back for a new one but I got a factory refurbished one cheap and the problem didn't occur until about 14 days after I got it so I couldn't even pay to return it to the seller on eBay. So I'm stuck with it. Netflix sucks too. Standard def works great but hi-def stuff has to constantly re-buffer over the wi-fi. Don't have this problem with any other of my devices and the router is literally on the other side of a wall, (maybe 3 feet away). 20 Mbit cable modem and a 56 Mbit wireless router. Gonna have to run an ethernet cable through the wall to watch Netflix now. Overall, I'm disappointed.

My main concern for this player was the ability to play movies via the USB port. I like to rip movies for playing on the road and this seemed like a great way to use the files at home, too. Works great. It will also play picture and music files via the USB port.

It has great picture quality on any type of DVD I have played in it including DVDs I have made from TV or home movies. I do not have a 3-D TV but did want hi-def.

The Internet part was good but you can't go to regular websites like CBS, Fox or ABC to watch programs. This seems to be common in most Internet connected media products so they can charge for them. So I rarely use it for Internet viewing except maybe some YouTube stuff. I hope that changes someday.

Great player for new BD's, and 3D. Does not play any of my old movies or CD's. Will not even play prerecorded DVD's or CD's. So I am having to use 2 DVD players, the old and the new. Be carefil what you ask for. Samsung needs to update its firmware to resolv this problem. Under recommendations, yes I would recommend this player as long as the specifications were known and clear.

This Blu-Ray player is a great buy.

Built in WiFi, Touch-panel display, DVD up-conversion, 3D, and a bunch of other great features! It's also very reasonably priced for the features that it offers. Samsung has products that cost more, but really they're just smaller; so you pay a premium for the size.

I now have two of these: one I purchased new, and one refurbished. Both work great, and I have been very impressed all around.

It's work pretty good and great price for this player. This player is perfect for Samsung 3D TV series 7 & above. This is not the latest model but this is the third latest BD-D6500 so it's not very different with BD-D7500. This is built-in Wifi, play fast and great picture quality that's why such a good one. This is not able with 2D to 3D conversion,not built-in hard drive, not ultra thin and not HD Up-conversion. Only these a few miner things are different and the price is a lot less than with latest one. Therefore it's a good one to use it.
