What I like about this machine is that it connects wirelessly to 2.4Ghz-N, it connects to Netflix and it does a good job playing content. I haven't used the Blu-Ray function, so I can't comment on its performance, but the rest of the machines functions work well.
What a don't like about the machine is that the remote isn't as responsive as I would like. You really have to push those buttons. Perhaps I need to change the batteries, I haven't tried that. Maybe it's just my remote, that's very possible.
Sometimes Netflix will slow or even stop, but that probably has more to do with bandwidth than it does the players functionality. On the forums, people say that the player doesn't utilize their networks speed efficiently, so that is also possible. Something to be aware of either way.
Firmware updates are effortless, it does it automatically through the internet if you have it set-up for that.
I especially like being able to play movie files from USB external devices, such as a flash drive or external hard drives.
Overall, it's a great all-in-one solution, especially when connected to other Samsung devices which utilize the Anynet+ interface that allows control with one remote.
When my old Samsung Blu-Ray Player died, I was wondering if I should get another one. After doing some review I heard that this was a good Player. It has built in Wi-Fi and it's speed loading disks is among the best. When I received the player I hooked it up using a HDMI cable. (it only comes with a composite video cable) It found my wireless router with no problem and was able to connect with netflix right away. I put in multiple blu-ray disks that had problems in the past and they came right up with the installed firmware. I tried to play avatar and had to download the latest firmware just as I thought I would. In a couple of Minutes it downloaded and installed the patch and I was able to watch the movie. I have watched multiple dvd disks and most have been able to upvert to 1080P. I have been able to stream programs from Netflix and the video and speed to download have been fast. I would recomend this player to anyone looking for a blu-ray player based on its price, speed of loading disks and functionality
I'm really glad I looked up what the best bly ray players were before I bought this one because it seems as though it would deff. be one of the best out there. Picture quality is awesome and the features it carries is amazing I can stream Netflix, blockbuster, Vudo or even Pandora radio straight from my TV! (with wi-fi of course)easy set up and just a plain awesome blu ray player!
here's what i love
