|Although the lead character of this first-person puzzle adventure is not really a thief, he is recruited for his skills in the art of quick and clandestine infiltration. Players take the role of a top security expert, hired by a family whose patriarch has just passed away. It seems the wealthy eccentric left the details of his last will and testament hidden away in a series of locked safes. The player's job involves investigating an opulent mansion and breaking into a series of 35 safes, all unique and each more challenging than the last. Players navigate the mansion through a point-and-click interface, and crack each safe by solving a different puzzle.|

This game is really neat because it is a mix between a puzzle and a mystery game. You have to go through this mansion and find all of the safes and crack all of the codes. Each code requires some sort of puzzle. The puzzles can include games such as sudoku, distorted pictures, number codes, etc...It is your job to figure out what you are supposed to do at each code to open the safe. Each safe has a clue once it is opened. Some of the safes are easy, but most of them take a challege and lots of patience. If you are a puzzle guru and have the patience and are good at figuring out clues, then this is the game for you. I haven't found anything about this game that I do not like yet. It is a lot of fun, and it keeps your mind working. I recommend this game to anyone with interest in challenging clue and puzzle games. I would recommend, after playing this game, for ages teen and up.
Safecracker is about your in this huge manson and there are about 35 safes and you have to crack all 35 of them some of the safes are pretty simple while others are down right frustrating!!! Over all the puzzle weren't really that hard. I complete the game in 3 days and only had to use a Walkthrough once. But the down side of this game is that it's slow, basicly when you move forward the game has to load everytime, personally I HATE that!!! And the ending was SO stupid. But if you love puzzle games then I would highly recommened giving Safecracker a try,if you can stand the game loading ALOT. But personally I wouldn't give over $10.00 or $15.00 for this game mainly because it's too short.
I purchased this game because I like puzzles. The game has puzzle types that I have never seen before. I have "tried" to make progress on the puzzles & / or figgure them out. (I would like it if there were a timer feature that would let you have a hint after a given time - that is not the case) since I can't figgure out some of the puzzles & progress farther into the Mansion, I plan to re-sell the game.
I would NOT reccomend this game to casual gammers. I suspect hard core gammers & puzzle players would get more out of the game than I did.
The game is fun and interesting. You really have to use your brain. My children want to play it as well but I have been a little stingy so far, because the game is so much fun. Trying to crack all the riddles.
This cd is great for the price offered and the advertising was good, this product compares equal or as good. The advertising was put together very well, The game holds your interest from the very beginning. It keeps the mind going strong through out the game.
