I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!

This movie should absolutely, positively be in every musical lover's collection. It' cheesy, but the good kind of cheesy. It has famous people in it, including The Amazing Vocalist, Whitney Houston, The Mid - Late 90's Pop-Star/Actress, Brandy, The Awesome Comedian and Actress, Whoopi Goldberg, The Ever - Hilarious Actor, Comedian, and Broadway Guy, Jason Alexander, and who could ever forget The Gorgeous Actress and Broadway Gal, Bernadett Peters! There's also an amazing crew of dancers and if a movie is co-produced by Whitney Houston its gotta be good! The movie has all the traditional Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella Happenings, but with a little twist on the music and story-line. It's full of tons of bright color and witty remarks (most of them from Jason Alexander's character, or course)! If you love romantic comedies, musicals, and witty characters, you'll love this movie!

Best version of "Cinderella" to date

By far the best live action adaptation of a fairy tale movie. More than likely will always be #1 in my book.
Having worked for Walt Disney World, I'd seen every version of Cinderella that the world had to offer but, I always had faint memories of this one from my childhood. The re-telling of the story was done perfectly. The atmosphere and tone of the movie was amazing, the actors were awe-inspiring, it gave the old fairy tale a more personal feel, and the songs were funny without losing their magical touch.

For anyone who loves the story of Cinderella and fairy tales in general, I would highly recommend this movie. Not only for you but, for your daughters as well.

Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella

It is a wonderful story of Cinderella. The music is wonderful, Brandy plays Cinderella and sings beautifully. It's a strange mix of people which makes it really funny. Whitney Houston is the fairy godmother and Whoopi Goldberg is the Prince's mother. It's a great movie.

Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (DVD, 2000)

There are various versions of the Cinderella story out there but I do love this one! I decided to buy this movie because I love the story and I like that different ethnicities are used for the characters. There are various versions of the Cinderella story out there but I do love this one! Brandy as Cinderella and Whitney Houston as the fairy godmother were fantastic choices I think! I also enjoyed the other characters played by Bernadette Peters, Whoopi Goldberg,Victor Garber, Paolo Montalban, Jason Alexander, Veanne Cox, and Natalie Desselle. I liked that this version is very colorful and touched with bits of humour. I enjoyed the musical numbers, beautiful scenery and costumes. How about I just say I enjoyed this movie in its entirety.

One of my favorite musicals. I've purchased this dvd at least 3 previous times. A friend or a family member always borrows it and i have to replace it.
I don't mind though. I love the talented and colorful cast, amazing song and dance sequences, and wonderful costume choices.
