Kwami; Wesley Trigg.Once the straight country-rock of his single "Cocky" struck a chord with the public, Kid Rock seemed more interested in filling the shoes of Southern rock pioneers Lynyrd Skynyrd than upholding his throne as hip-hop's white trash punk. His 2007 album ROCK N ROLL JESUS completes that transition. A big album that bowls straight up the middle, ROCK N ROLL JESUS is Kid's homage to the grits and gravy of classic rock, a 21st-century update of FM radio fare from the 1970s.Gone for most part is his hip-hop posturing and in-your-face putdowns; in their place are invocations of Skynyrd, Bob Seger, Steve Miller, and the like. "All Summer Long," a bouncy, sunny tune that bears a striking resemblance to "Sweet Home Alabama," is a case in point; while "Roll On" has the smooth-rolling feel of the Eagles' early work. Rock cuts loose, to be sure, as on the head-banging "So Hott," but even these tracks are injected with a retro feel, summoning classic AC/DC more than anything from the '00's. Longtime Rock fans might miss the bad attitude, but fans of classic '70s rock should feel right at home.

Kid Rock is Still the BEST!!!!!!!

I've been a Kid Rock fan for years, and this new album is different, but is much better than his last two. Too Hott and Sugar have that "old school" sound. The rest of the album shows how much Robert Ritchie has grown as an artist, including the song "Amen." This album includes songs such as All Summer Long and Roll On (retro "feel good" type of songs.) Half Your Age and Lowlife show his constant comedic style.

This is nothing like the old school music going back from Devil to his earlier recordings -- Polyfuse, Grits Sandwiches, Early Morning Stoned Pimp, but it has a unique style all it's own, and it's a definite MUST HAVE for any lover of Kid Rock's music.

Some say he's selling out or going commercial. I don't feel that way. I feel he is growing older and mellowing and stretching his wings. Heck, aren't we ALL getting older? Give the man a break, I think it's an excellent album and you can tell that he put a lot of work into it.

His new concert (YES A BRAND NEW SHOW) is also different, but EXCELLENT -- it focuses mainly on his new music, but of course he throws our old favorites in too to mix it up a bit. If you can catch the show, I suggest you do that as well. But buy the album first because you will have more of a feeling of what to expect.

AWESOME WORK, BOBBY -- KEEP IT COMING!!!!!

1. Rock N Roll Jesus
2. Amen
3. All Summer Long
4. Roll On
5. So Hott
6. Sugar
7. When You Love Someone
8. New Orleans
9. Don't Tell Me You Love Me
10. Blue Jeans And A Rosary
11. Half Your Age - (bonus track)
12. Lowlife (Living The Highlife)

Love This CD!!

Since I own about everything Kid Rock has done over the years, this is one more awesome CD he's done for all of us to enjoy.

This excellent CD by Kid Rock really shows how he's matured over the last decade or so and is writing from the soul. You can feel it in the songs 'Blue Jeans and A Rosary' and 'When You Love Someone' in particular. Then there's always 'Amen' or 'All Summer Long'. On the funnier side, there's always 'Half Your Age' or my personal favorite 'Lowlife Livin The High Life'.

I highly recommend any Kid Rock fan add this one to their collection. Let's hope it doesn't take as long for the next one...but if it's half as good as this one, the wait will be worth it.

To make a long story short....just buy the CD!

I have been a kid rock fan for 11 years, and seen him live 7 times. I have turned my parents, younger sister, best friend and boyfriend into big fans. This album is different than his others but I think it is the best one yet. There is rock, rap and country all mixed into one. There is NOT one bad song on the whole cd. The tour he is doing right now is also the best so far. He opens the show his self and plays for almost 3 hours and closes the show his self. We seen him in january and my parents had such a good time I bought them tickets to see him again on valentines day in WV. They had pit tickets so they were closer than front row. They had so much fun they are still talking about it!! I do agree with most of the reviews when they say that he has changed. I think it has been a change for the better.I think this cd really reflects where he's at in this point of his life. Rock on Bobby!!!

Great Summer cd for music lovers who want the songs as the artist intended!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This cd is WONDERFUL! If you like Kid Rock then you are sure to LOVE this release from the COWBOY himself. This one offers such hits as: "Amen", "Rock N Roll Jesus", "All Summer Long”, “Roll On", "So Hott" and "Sugar" as well as many others. The best part of all, this one is the UN-Edited (as the artist truly meant for the songs to be heard) version! So if you are ready for some great party music for the Summer, then get your copy of this great cd today!

I never thought I'd buy a CD by Kid Rock

I bought Rock N Roll Jesus for the ALL SUMMER LONG song and couldn't get it from iTunes. I've been playing it all weekend. Except for 2 or 3 songs which
are what I don't like about Kid Rock - screaming, loud, horrid music, , the other 9-10 are great. Roller Coaster was an unexpected surprise and New Orleans really captures the spirit of that city's music. Best of all is All Summer Long, Kid Rock's homage to Sweet Home Alabama, Werewolf of London, and remembering being young in the summer.
