There has been Barney, Raffi, and countless bad folksingers, but now a marvel of marketing--Kenny Loggins, baby-boomer star, releases an album for the children of his fans. RETURN TO POOH CORNER will have parents and their children cheering in unison. A miracle: a children's album grown-ups will like. With the assistance of musical friends like Patti Austin, Amy Grant, David Crosby and Graham Nash, Loggins takes the listener on a peaceful, lyrical journey through a collection of some of his favorite children's songs. They range from originals to traditional folksongs, while many flow from the pens of such talents as John Lennon ("Love"), Paul Simon ("St. Judy's Comet"), and Rickie Lee Jones ("The Horses").The stand-out is the traditional lullabye "All The Pretty Little Horses" with delicate harmonies by Loggins, Crosby and Nash; an intricate interweaving that is spellbinding. But for Kenny Loggins fans, there is another highlight, the remake of his ode to innocence, "Return To Pooh Corner."After listening to this gentle collection, Junior won't be the only one dreaming with a smile on his face.

Pooh Corner- Kenny Loggins

Created: 09/10/06
I bought this CD because I have always loved Kenny Loggins and the song "Pooh Corner". I thought it would be great to introduce my daughter to his music and I am so glad I did! She and I both absolutely LOVE this cd. It is a favorite at naptime or bedtime, but the soothing music is very nice anytime of day to slow the pace of play. The classic song "All the Pretty Ponies" is now my daughter's favorite lullaby (she calls it her nitenite song). This cd would be a great addition to any child's music collection. It is imaginative and truely inspires a connection with the magical elements of childhood!
As the song goes..."...come with me and you'll be, in a world of pure imagination..." This is Loggins at his very best!

I've been looking for the "Winnie the Pooh" song for a long time. Finally, I sat down and researched and was extremely pleased to find it on an album filled with like songs and music. This is a tune that runs through my head a lot and is very calming. I especially like to use the album as background music in my elementary reading classes. As Kenny intended for his children I am sure, it seems to calm the students and they stay more focused when calm! And to top it all off, Kenny Loggins is one of my favorite writers and performers from "my" generation! Thank you, Kenny!

Beautiful album of songs to sing to babies and small children. I enjoy listening to it all by myself. Pretty little ponies sounds like a song my grandmother used to sing to babies, never heard it again til this album.

I do believe this is some of Kenny Loggins best music. I am buying this CD because someone stole my mine. If you have heard the song rainbow connection and liked it but have not heard the rest of the CD you really should listen to the whole thing.
