Resident Evil 6 no longer scary, but still a solid fun game

Capcom got the controls down pat for the first time in the series. The game looks really good, there were some neat graphics and details to the creatures.
Negatives-
They went with a formula to the campaign that made the play out very similar, using many popular gaming schemes for example throughout all of them there are times where you have quick time running events similar to Uncharted series. To me when they added these wrinkles in the game it just felt cheap. They added a new icon display you can pull up to direct the player to the objective similar to Deadspace/cod. To me they added all the things going for other gamers and in the meantime lost a franchise that use to be survival horror. There are not many moments that scare anymore, the game feels and plays more like an action shooter, and as a die hard fan from the playstation one games, I was sorely dissappointed in what the became. On a personal preference I dont like the perks/system that they use instead of leveling up weapons you have perk/skills and I am not thrilled with. The stamina health is great way to make close quarters combat fun and yet keep someone from just spamming meelee throughout the game. The meelee includes over the top moves similar to those found in a professional wrestling ring that are tongue in cheek funny. Once again while they are neat and feel over powering, its hard to be scared when you are laughing or laying the smack down on zombies.

The game is a really good game, its just dissappointing that this is the direction a once awesomely scary franchise went.

Resident Evil fans will love this latest sequel. It makes up for the sub-par spin-off series game Operation Raccoon City. Don't let some over zealous critics deter you.

You get all the classic zombies, classic characters (Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield) and the return of others including Sherry Birkin and Ada Wong, new characters (Wesk---'s ---??? No spoilers here!), 3 different quests, an unlockable one with Ada Wong for a total of four, and a new free downloadable one will be available soon. Mercenaries mode is back and better than ever. These graphics push the power of the Playstation 3 system to it's limit. Play single player, or with up to four players co-op/competitive.

Four Player co-op is only available in certain stages. Yes, there is more action than previous RE titles, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Action-adventure transition has been happening for quite some time and didn't just sneak up on us.

If the series didn't reinvent itself, it would become stagnant. I enjoyed the game, and any Resident Evil fan will. Action fans, adventure fans, horror fans, and fans of good storytelling and great graphics should give this game a try. If you have never tried a Resident Evil game, this is the perfect one to pick up. It's very accessible for new fans, and improves a lot of the faults of the series. Personally, I can't wait for Resident Evil 7!

RE6 is a good game. Based on previous RE series titles, the survival horror feel to the original game have faded away but finally I could say that this entry returns that genre back. The familiar zombie enemies from the original RE games have come back from the grave and made me feel like I am playing a Resident Evil title and not an action adventure game and its been years since I felt that since last time I played RE3 nemesis! :D

The best game ever, period!

The best game in the best survival horror series of all time. If you like this genre of game playing, this is the best ever. Zombies with lifelike AI that will keep you on the edge of your seat. A must have!

WHAT THE HECK IS CAPCOM THINKING!!!! ?

IN MY OPINION THIS GAME IS A PIECE OF JUNK! THE GAME DOES NOT GO W/THE STORY LINE...WHAT THE HECK IS CAPCOM THINKING OF? LATELY ALL THEY ARE DOING IS DISAPPOINTING IT'S CONSUMERS. NEXT TIME, I WILL THINK TWICE ABOUT BUYING ANOTHER GAME IN FEAR OF WASTING MY MONEY.
