    Resident Evil 3

A definate classic for anyone of the survival horror genre. A truly must have. This was my introduction to the franchise when it origanaly released for the PS. It is still my personal favorite in the series to date. Graphics are still very pleasing. No let downs for me personaly. I consider it to be more of a hardcore gamer title though. Definately not for the "squeemish" so to speak. Hey, I'm recommending it to you.........so go get it already!

    A nemesis in Resident Evil

If you know the Resident Evil Games you would obviously know that there is blood, gore and death. Add to that Terror and clausterphobia. With Resident Evil 3 all that continues, and the game does have all the original elements in the previous games, but there is a certain feeling of repidity in the third instalment.
We've seen everything that's in this game before, and the Nemesis that comes after you all the time shows up in repeditive clock work. He's more of an annoyance than threatening. Still, like most game bosses he is supposed to make you fear for your "life" (sort of), but instead you keep going through the motions to simply evade this guy after the first encounter.
Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy this game, and I love the game. If this was the only Resident Evil game in existance it would be a landmark to gaming, I don't intend to diminish that, however when it stands beside Resident Evil and Resident Evil 2 it lacks the adrenaline, and that is what these games are for. If you're buying your first Resident Evil game, this one will hook you, I have no doubt about that. However if you know Resident Evil, and you want the most bang for your buck, get Resident Evil 2.

    Jill's Escape From Raccoon City

Resident Evil 3 for the Gamecube involves Jill Valentine(RE:1) fighting her way through the hellish streets of Raccoon City. The time frame of the events in the game overlap the events of RE:2, so Jill will visit some areas that were in the previous title, for example the R.C.P.D. building. Like the past titles you have limited inventory space, item boxes, typewriters to save your progress, items for puzzle solving, etc. Some new features are gun powders you collect & mix to make either handgun bullets, shotgun bullets, and various grenade rounds. Certain times during the game you will be given a choice to make in dangerous situations which slightly alter your game progress to give you a different ending. Oh, of course during the game your encounter one of Umbrella Corp's pet projects called Nemesis. He's basically a Tyrant with a brain and an RPD. If you're not familiar with a Tyrant then you might want to play the 1st two RE's. Anyway, the Nemesis pursues you throughout the entire game, usually at the worst times. So that adds quite a bit of action during the game. RE:3 is an interesting & fun game, though in my opinion it was too short and not as good as RE:1 & 2. I feel it should get the remake treatment along with RE:2 & Code Veronica.

    A great classic horror game

While the graphics and control may be a little outdated, don't let this discourage you from giving this classic survival-horror game a try. It's a trill to make your way through the ruins of Raccoon City while being plagued by not only zombies, but the Nemesis as well. The combat is still solid and the puzzles can still make you stop and think for a bit. If you are fan of the Resident Evil games or horror games in general, then you owe it to yourself to try this one.

    Love this game!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I've got awesome memories of this game. The last time I played it was a few years ago and those memories are filled with fun, fear (the good kind), excitement, and happiness. That's why I just HAD to buy this game again.

For the real Resident Evil fans (like yours truly) this game is an excellent addition to the collection and it is a great choice for those just joining the circle as well. This is the second Resident Evil game I ever played and let me tell you, it DID NOT disappoint (not that a Resident Evil game ever would but I just heard things like the graphics not being too good, or it not living up to the standards of a 2003 game) but whatever, I love this game along with the entire series and I recommend buying this game if you want to get spooked at 3 a.m. and have a BLAST solving mysteries, killing zombies, monsters, etc. It's got puzzles, a very engaging story line, awesome (and easy on the eyes) characters, crazy, scary chases, and many times where you'll be opted to make a real life choice in the game that will affect the outcome of the story at one point. And many, many other fun features that make this game so awesome.
