For the price of this device,I think it is the best for a simple home or online business budget.First let me start by telling you about the battery power. This device has a strong battery retaitivity.Anytime I fully charge it,I can use it for the next 10 days without recharging. And even when the charge goes low,It will still survive in the case emergency.I also like the fact that even when my contract expired with AT&T( Now Cingular )I was still able to communicate with my friends with the PIN numbers, through IN-SERVER Network. The only thing I don't like in this device is the fact that it was not made as a phone and PDA combined.I have tried all other types of blackberry products that are phone and PDA combined but I think this 957 is still the best.I think cingular no longer supports the technical support for this device but for all for people who already have it,it is a great advantage for you.For those who wants to buy it,I suggest you contact your carrier first in order to know if they still support the handheld before you purchase, but if you do decide to purchase you will not be dissapointed.
In the overall this handheld is awesome.
These products are completely unsupported by RIM. But if you are interested in programming, this small device is nice. With the radio disable it will last weeks on a charge. It's display is as crisp as ink on paper. I've dabbled with programming on it but my next project is to use one as a car computer with it's serial port hooked up to an OBD2 interface box. I believe I can get 4 good sized gauges on it's display.
Some help on programming them along with examples of code and 3 different SDK's can be found at:
The BlackBerry 957 Enterprise Edition may be good, but once bought it from retailer was unable to find a charger, and asked if they knew of a place to get one and they did not know. I understand that the items did not come with charger, but pertty much saying buy this item with no chance of being able to use it since there is no charger and it does not take batteries. I just will never purchase an item like this again cause it was a waste of money.
