In this Modern adult take on the classic tale of " LIttel Red Riding hood", you will get a feel of the mix of both "Twilight" and the movie " The Village". All throughout the movie you will be convinced you know just who the wolf is, and then you think it is someone else until you are driven mad. Alas you will be tricked just as I was but will be happy you were. Well done re-make.
Amanda Seyfried stars in this very dark look at the Little Red Riding Hood Fable. Its the story of a town that lives in constant fear of the warewolf that has been hunting the residents for decades. The town finally decides to make a stand and they set out to kill the warewolf, just then a werewolf hunter (Gary Oldman) arrives to rid the town once and for all of the warewolf.
This movie has nothing to do with the fairy tale and reminded me of the new vampire movies like Twilight. In fact this could easily be mistaken for a prequel to that series.
Overall the story was good, the acting was above average and I would recommend this to anyone who enjoyed Twilight.

I saw this movie in theatres, and I guess I thought I like it more than I did. I admire Amanda Seyfried, she is gorgeous, and Gary Oldman is really good in it, but beyond that, it feels too Twilighty or something. Oh yeah, I ended up selling it, lol.
The filming of the movie was very well done. The ending was a surprise but the whole movie was silly and written for a teenage audience. Wait for it to come on television. Don't waste your money like I did.
Great product. Great movie! Full of twisted plots and great lighting bring the story of Red Riding Hood to an interesting light! This is not a kid movie, but what adult doesn't have a kid screaming to be heard from the inside?
