|The Realistic Minimus-7 stereo speakers are constructed from cast aluminum with a wire mesh grille, sporting a long-excursion low-frequency woofer sized at 4 inches, with a rubber surround, and a 1-inch fabric dome high-frequency tweeter. Originally, the Realistic stereo speakers were designed with an acoustic suspension, but later changed to the reflex alignment, for better performance. The Realistic Minimus-7 stereo speakers produce a strong 90 dB, using full range and no separate low-frequency system. Furthermore, the Realistic stereo speakers system features ultra-powerful neodymium magnets, a 40-watt RMS channel rating, and a vibration-free design. The frequency response of the speakers is 80 Hz to 15 kHz, and the two-way design delivers powerful sound from the smaller system. The system can be used as extension speakers for a surround sound set, or as primary bookshelf speakers. Installation is also an easy process, as the Realistic stereo speakers can be mounted on a wall or set on a shelf, measuring 7 inches by 4.5 inches by 4.3 inches.|

I've been and audiophile for over 40 years, and have owned scores of speakers. Acoustic suspension, bass reflex, horns labyrinth, electrostats, plasma...you name it. But I really love these little gems for near-field listening. They have great range and power capability. Their die-cast frame give them very little resonance. They remind me a lot of granite-epoxy-frame Staub bookshelf speakers, for a lot less $$$. They handle any kind of music well, with lots of volume and dynamic range. For classical music, they yield a highly coherent sound stage with an enjoyable width, depth and height. I used a pair of these in my recording studio for monitors and mixing. Their sound with a good tube SACD/DAC/preamp/amp combination is truly amazing for their size and price.... And try listening to eight of these stacked as two line sources, driven with two 5.1 A/V amps in simple stereo. The reproduction is something you've GOT to hear!
Great little monitor speaker. Good bang for the buck. Honest accurate music reproduction. Pretty underrated little speaker. Great for office or bedroom.
