Ray Cook Classic Plus Chipper --- Great Club
Created: 06/17/10
Likes --- club head is heavy enough to make the required stroke strength easy to estimate, versus some chippers that feel more like blade putters that can actually disrupt your swing at impact if you are not very careful.
Why did I buy it? I had one of these chippers and disposed of it several years ago at my son's recommendation. I was very good with it but my son wanted me to master the "7 iron chip". I never could do it, so I replaced the original with this one. In the interim, I tried a new chipper that had the light, blade putter feel, and could not make it work. The Ray Cook is excellent.

Kinda cool-never used one before

I've never used a chipper before now. The one thing that I noticed right away is you can't fluff your shot, but you need to learn how to use it properly.
The first two times I used it, I skulled the ball. After I figured out how to use it, I landed my shots within a half yard of where I wanted and got great roll.
It's a keeper, but now I need to figure out which club to pull from my bag to stay at 14.
Update; The more I use it, the more I like it! Practice, practice, practice.
