This RD1071 was available so I purchased it and am very happy with it.I use it with Sony standard headphones as I walk my cat around my yard. I also have several SD Cards with music mixed on them for variety.
I never even bother to use the base memory as it is so much easier to replace music on the SD Cards as I have a card reader on my laptop.

PS. The RCA RD1072 and RD 1028 have similar features and I own both.

With 128 MB’s space you can have about 5 CD’s at 96 kbs or less and 2-3 CD’s at 128 kbs. You can add-on a lot more space with a SD Memory Card so you could hold a lot more CD’s. It comes with an armband holder and ear bud Headphones that sound Surprisingly Great.

I LOVE this MP3......now that I figured out how to use it. The sound quality is wonderful, but I suggest to just use your computer's windows media player instead of the software that comes with it. I fiddled with it for hours and hours and never got it to do what I wanted until I gave up and used the Media Player, Now I LOVE it!

) I bought this for my nephew's 9th birthday and it sat among a table of presents and ended up being the "best thing in his whole life!". He's had it 3 days and already has it figured out(without instructions) and can't wait to finish getting all of his favs on it. One doesn't see him now without the ear buds hanging out and the wire going up as well as his head bouncing around. His 7 year old sister is anxious for her birthday to come in hopes she gets one too. I can't tell you how pleased I was with the lyra I bought for myself and now this one for my nephew--THANKS!!

I like this mp3 player because it is small and easy to use when I work out. It is less cumbersome when I don't have a pocket to put in to. It is also easy to use and to down load to. It is a great older model MP3 Player
