) Big, heavy, but the picture is breathtaking. This CRT technology is far better than the fancy new LCDs or plasmas. You can't hang it on a wall, and it doesn't have the sex appeal of the hot new models. However, if 38-inch is big enough for your needs, you won't find a TV with truer colors, wide viewing angle, and blacker blacks. Watching this TV is like watching a film in a theater. The set is built with Direct TV ready to hook up. There is a fan in that section of the set that is always on because the system communicates with Direct TV overnight via phone line. It is barely audible in a very quiet room, but you can always use a switched power strip to turn the whole thing off.

) This TV is a beast, but delivers a tremendous picture. CRT technology is old hat, but if you're looking ofr a set in this size range the picture can't be beat. It's the bigest 16x9 CRT tube tv ever sold, and bring 2 strong people to move it... :-)
