This was one of 6 Denver mint quarters that I had to purchase to fill out my state quarters book. Living on the east coast, we get mostly Philadelphia minted coins so I had to purchase a few to fill out the coin book.
What can I say? It is a quarter! However, I was missing the final State quarter for Hawaii from the Denver mint and this quarter completed my collection.
This series that contains the hawaii quarter is truly the most fun to collect. Young or old, you can learn so much about the great country we live in. Each design is unique on each quarter. When the government decided to extend the series to include Dc and the territories it was exciting. Looking forward to the new series, National Parks. It promises to be as great as the original state quarters.
It was an unusual find - this particular quarter spoon was the last in the series produced by the U.S. Mint. Actually, I bought it for friend whose mother missed getting this to complete her set, so I was glad to be able to find it at a decent price.
