|With its clear and engaging writing style, PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS, Sixth Edition, continues to be one of the most popular books on economics available today. Mankiw emphasizes material that you are likely to find interesting about the economy (particularly if you are studying economics for the first time), including real-life scenarios, useful facts, and the many ways economic concepts play a role in the decisions you make every day.|

|Number Of Pages||888 pages|
|"Very student friendly text. Makes economics easy to understand. Some of the other texts would take a lot of reading to explain an idea."|
"We used to use Case and Fair's text. Mankiw seems to be a better text because it actually follows through with giving applications to what he includes in the book. For example, there is much better material in Mankiw about consumer surplus, producer surplus, government policies and interventions in the market."
'I think it is more reader friendly than other texts. In addition, it uses both numeric and/or graphical examples, which is very useful for the students.'

the reason i decided to buy this book is i've saved hundreds of dollars purchasing brand new "International edition" softcover books. they maybe softcover, have different isbn & cover page design from U.S. edition book but everything else is the same. WITH ANY BOOK YOU PURCHASE, just be sure to check your buying the correct title, author, and the EDITION you need for your class. i've seen as many as three or four different design covers for the same book. as far as reviewing the content of the book, it's the book i needed for my class and i was happy to have a new book that cost several dollars less than the u.s. edition book. NOTE: BE SURE TO GET THE BOOKS YOU NEED FOR THE SEMESTER AS FAR IN ADVANCE AS POSSIBLE. DON'T ORDER ON THE DAY THE CLASS STARTS AND EXPECT TO GET IT THE NEXT DAY!!!!!
This is an excellent textbook. Mankiw did an awesome job in writing it. I actually enjoyed reading every chapter! This edition is being replace by a new one, but I still reccommend his textbook. I decided not to sell it back because I thought it was so well writen.
I purchased the international edition of this book. The chapters were all the same as the US edition, the only difference being slight variation to the chapter questions at the end of each section.
As far as the book's content goes, it is a very easy read. Mankiw stayed true to the title and really explained the principles of economics well. I prefer this book over other economics books I've read; the text is not dense but rather clear and precise.
This book has been purposely made with large margins for students to take notes. There are quock quizzes at the end of every section to help students re-enforce the material read in the section. I would recommend this book for any beginner level Economics course.
Well, as far as the book goes, I baught because I needed it for school. As far as the person who sold it to me, loved the condition it was in, just as described. I didn't have a problem with it, I even recieved it before I was suppose to, which is always a plus. If you are looking for the fouth edition, this works just as well, it's the exact same thing. I would have to say that the only difference are the "chapter" orders, if that, and the examples (they've been updated) -- which, I don't think you'll need that just to get the point accross in learning the material. : )
