Shy and nerdy Mia Thermopolis, whose only wish is to get through her school day unnoticed and without causing herself any embarrassment, is about to get the surprise of a lifetime. Enter Mia's estranged grandmother who just happens to be the Queen of Genovia! Mia isn't overjoyed to discover she is a princess and does not attend her 'princess lessons' without a fight. To top it off, Mia has only three weeks to learn how to act and look like royalty. Her comical transformation plays out on screen with much laughter, fun, and sheer enjoyment. On a more serious note, Mia also finds herself hiding from the media, dealing with jealous classmates and trying to thwart a plot to take over Genovia.

Priness Diaries

Both my kids as well as myself and my wife loved this one. The girls love Mia and how she handle her challanges. For me it was great to see Julie Andrews on screen again especially Daries II when she sang a short song. Took me back to my childhood seeing her singing in Sound of Music and Mary Poppins ( I saw these the first time around in the early 60's. She is still one of the most gifted actresses I've ever seen even in what's more a supporting role in some ways in this flick.

Little Princess

My daughter is 8 and we where go threw e-bay and she seen the princess diaries movie and spent her own money on this movie and it came in the mail on Friday and here it is and she has watched it 5 times if she could chose she would watch it all day every day..

Cute Disney film!!!

This DVD will make a great addition for any movie collector, especially Disney collectors. This movie has everything a little girl would fantisize about being a princess. It is a cute story and it perfect for any age group. I would recommend this DVD to anyone. Have any doubts? Buy it and see for yourself.

Great Movie

I love this movie as an adult and know my daughter is going to also. The main characters are portrayed perfectly by the talented actresses. You can also feel good about your daughters watching this because it is clean family fun! I bought it for those reasons and would definately buy it again!!!
