Powerbilt N7 .... NOT A GIMMICK! WOW!
Created: 02/20/11
I'm a golfer that bombs the ball. I have hit almost every name brand driver and the Powerbilt N7 is as good or BETTER than every one of them. Ball jumps off the face with very low spin. I have the stock x-stiff Fujikura E350. Works great. Soft feel with the 4.2 torque but plenty stout for my 113 mph swing. I don't think you can find a better club for the price. Bought mine for $100 used...mint condition. I am going to be laughing at my playing partners with the $500 R11's. The Powerbilt N7 Air Force One Air Foil Nitrogen Charged Driver is simply outstanding. The only thing I don't like is the name! Kinda overdone. Powerbilt N7 would have been much better. You won't be disappointed if you buy one. I am already looking forward to seeing the third generation of this club.

2010 Powerbilt AFO Tour Driver, 10.5*
Created: 11/20/10
Largely unknown and underrated, the 2010 Powerbilit AFO Tour driver is very quietly developing a cult following. I stress the 2010 version because I'd read that prior versions left much to be desired, but they certainly got it right this year. Most, turned off by late night infomercials, had ignored the claimed merits of the driver.
But this is one club of infomercial fame that shouldn't fool players into thinking it's a gimmick. The club flat-out performs. I won't even get into the technology behind it because frankly, I don't care. I only care about how the club feels at impact and most importantly, the reaction of the ball after said impact.
The clubhead feels a bit lighter than I'm used to. Personal preference though, I usually build my drivers to have a heavy(ish) swing-weight. But with the Powerbilt, the lighter feeling head didn't negatively affect me at all. I had no problems feeling the clubhead or tracking it throughout the swing.
Impact is extremely satisfying. Very solid, VERY explosive. Even though my driver is 10.5*, I'd classify the ball-flight as medium-low. Very strong, penetrating flight with good roll-out. On well struck shots it was 5-10 yards longer than my current driver (the equally excellent Cobra ZL). But what impressed me was the forgiveness all over the face. Being a "Tour" version, I'd just assumed that some game-improvement features would have been left out with the result being a smaller sweet-spot. Not so, while thinned shots do lose a bit more distance than my current driver, any other shot all over the face received VERY acceptable results. My typical miss, out toward the toe, was very nearly completely forgiven. At the range, I was trying to mis-hit the thing and although my ball would fly off-line some, nearly every shot was playable. One hard to measure and even harder to explain trait is when a club is just fun to hit. That's where this club shines, it's just a blast to play it.
I scored my Powerbilt driver for about $70, here on ebay. For that price and even $100+ more, it's a heckuva bargain. I'd whole-heartedly recommend to any player to check out the Powerbilt AFO drivers. Although I haven't hit the non-tour version, I'm hearing nothing but positives from those who have.
Under the radar and underappreciated, but the Powerbilt AFO Tour driver is every bit the equal of the big-name companies offerings.

I have not used this in actual round yet but at the range it added at least 10-15 yards on my drives. The ball just seems to jump off this club. I highly recomend it.
