Publisher's Note

Whether they are corporate professionals, budding entrepreneurs, or they own a home business, most people are looking to achieve more in less time, while earning enough money to live comfortably. This book reveals the proven techniques thousands of people have used to attain all of the money they wanted while living healthy, happy and balanced lives. The Power of Focus, the new blockbuster from the coauthors of the bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul, is a practical no-nonsense guide that shows readers how to reach their business, personal and financial goals without getting burned out in the process.

Canfield, Hansen, and Hewitt have taken the best ideas from their own successful careers (seventy-nine years of combined business expertise), and distilled them into ten powerful focusing principles. The result is a treasury of insights that is enjoyable to read and easy to understand. At the outset, the book identifies the three most important fundamentals for consistent success: developing unusual clarity; understanding that habits determine your future; and using a "no exceptions policy" approach to focus on what you want. Numerous anecdotes and inspiring stories help to reinforce each principle.

This is a must-read for business people, sales managers, entrepreneurs, and anyone who is serious about improving their personal awareness.

How ingrained are your habits? Can you envision, for example, exactly how you brush your teeth in the morning? Or is it so routine that it happens without thought, as if on automatic pilot? Our attitudes about success eventually control our work habits, and these habits, in turn, ultimately determine our level of success - or failure. In THE POWER OF FOCUS bestselling authors Mark Victor Hansen and Jack Canfield, along with success coach Les Hewitt, illustrate how the ability to focus on your goals determines your success, and the habits imbedded in your life routine often dictate your ability to successfully attain these goals.
So many of us struggle toward goals without a clear picture of what actions need to be taken. We partake in activities and routines that we know impede our success, but feel powerless to change because, as we often say, "it's how I've always done it." This type of attitude is what differentiates the successful from those who feel that success is always a step away.
THE POWER OF FOCUS maps out a program for developing your focus and setting a clear path to success, by re-evaluating your habits, changing the ones that impede progress, following the examples of those who have achieved what you seek to achieve, and only engaging in attitudes and actions that create positive effects in your life.
Each of the book's chapters centers on a specific Focusing Strategy:
--Building successful habits
--Outlining the big picture
--Creating optimum balance in your life
--Nurturing excellent relationships
--Creating personal confidence
--Always asking for what you want
--Consistent persistence
--Wealth creation
--Simplifying your life

Essential reading for success

I've read dozens of improvement-oriented books, and The Power of Focus is one of my Top 5 of all time favorites. It is well-written and contains practical tips for immediate results as well as insight on how to think to have long-term large-scale success. Some of the chapters are a little long for those, like myself, who have a short attention span, but this is definitely essential reading for anyone interested in getting better at anything.

The Power of Focus

Super book very good very inspiring. Lots of great ideas. I stumbled across Jack Canfields name in the book The Secret. This is in my opinion a much more practical down to earth book than The Secret. This book emphasises action not hocus pocus. This book could definintely be life changing if all the tools and ideas given are used. I have applied some of the ideas with very good results and intend to incorperate more of them in my life. I highly recomend this book.
