Product Information
Publisher Valve's sleeper hit of 2007 returns with a new single-player story mode, two-player cooperative action, and new physics-based challenges to overcome. As in the original game, Portal 2 involves figuring out a way through a series of rooms within Aperture Science Labs, a futuristic facility that exists within the Half-Life universe. You'll fire a portal gun to create openings and exits within each area, allowing you to traverse the environment and manipulate objects in unusual ways. The GLaDOS computer once again serves as your droll guide through the game, as you navigate the hazard-filled test chambers and encounter new characters along the way. The cooperative mode is notable for featuring a distinct campaign, separate playable characters, completely different test chambers, and reworked puzzles that rely on teamwork.

A hilarious puzzle adventure from the excellent developers at Valve.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Yet another amazing title from Valve; the creators of the Steam video game client. Portal 2 is the sequel to the original Portal released in 2007, and shares the same atmosphere; the game is filled with hilarious jokes and an excellent cast. The gameplay is amazing as well; it really joins together a first person adventure game with a puzzle game, making the experience both satisfying and fun. The story is also quite amazing, and there are many secrets to discover; hidden away where only portals can take you.

On another note, the PS3 version features use of the Steam game client; normally available only on PC and Macs. You can sign in with the same account that you use on your PC/Mac Steam client, and chat with your Steam friends while on your PS3. Also, you can even play Portal 2 co-op with friends playing on either a PS3, or a PC/Mac- making this game one of the first cross-platform games I have ever seen. Lastly, Portal 2 for PS3 comes with a code to unlock the full version of Portal 2 on the PC/Mac Steam client; so in a sense, you are purchasing two copies of the game for the price of one.

Portal 2 is the best of puzzle games mixed with action!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I still am playing the game. This game is much longer than the first Portal and much more enjoyable with tougher puzzles and new designs, with funny commentary throughout the game. It has a well-written and easily followed story line, with no need for a gamer to play the first game to know what is going on.
Having the Steam code is a plus. It is like having the same game for two different platforms for the same price. And best of all, it has a new feature- co-op mode, which two people can enjoy solving puzzles WITH each other's help (as long as ur partner isn't your 4 year old brother who you have to do each part for).
I happen to not enjoy violent video games, and that is way too hard to find in today's gaming world. I hate the gore and realistic gameplay (however I have enjoyed games like Baldur's Gate in the past, just no COD for me). This game allows turrents to shoot at you along with other enjoyable challenges. However, for the violent coinscience parents, this game DOESN'T have gore, killing humans/robots, or anything else you might not like.

    Incredible thinking game.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

This game probably has the best voice acting of any game that has ever been made. I literally NEVER think video games are funny, This one made my fiance' and I laugh out loud several times. A very cognitive game, but it isn't too insanely frustrating. This isn't one of the best games this year, its TWO of them, the co-op mode is JUST as good as the single player mode. That never happens. Just a great experience, You'll find yourself playing it JUST to hear what they are going to say next.

A smart first-person puzzle game with excellent characters and locales.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I think that it is a fantastic first-person puzzle game with a good story. The puzzles are incredible to look at and have very smart mechanisms to solve. The characters are all very enjoyable. The two-player cooperative mode was surprisingly fun, given that I had a friend to play with.

Portal2 is inventive and enjoyable from the beginning to the end :)

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I played the original Portal and fully enjoyed it. It was funny with excellent writing and mind bending puzzles. This sequel sticks to its roots but it adds several new twists to the core portal jumping gameplay. Here are some of those twists: blue goo (allows you and other objects to bounce), yellow goo (increases movement speed), white goo (allows you to put portals anywhere where sprayed), bouncing platforms, light bridges and levitation fields. The new additions are all very well thought-out and implemented together wrapping tightly into a cake of delicious gameplay.

Pros: nicely done mind-bending puzzles, funny dialogue, improved graphics, nice lighting and fluid effects, longer than Portal 1, has co-op gameplay.

Cons: short (I beat single player in about 6-7 hours) doesn't deliver the initial shock of the first Portal (mostly because you already know what to expect more or less, you'll be jumping through portals with a portal gun)

Conclusion: Worth owning, funny, challenging, fun to play with friends.
