    Excellent sound, great value!

These RTi6 speakers from Polk Audio are excellent. The quality of construction is superb-the real cherry wood is gorgeous, and these are some solid boxes. The sound is rich and full, with even response over the frequency range. You won't get room-shaking bass, of course(one 6 1/2" woofer per speaker just won't do that!), but you will get smooth highs, warm mids, and tight bass. Run a subwoofer with these babies and you'll be blown away. I can't afford RTi8's or RTi A5's, which are dual 6 1/2" towers; they should have bigger low end, but for now, the PSW10 sub I got for $115 online fills out the sound and kicks quite well. My next Polk Audio purchase will be the FXi3 dipole/bipole surround speakers since they will match better than the Polk Atrium 45's I got initially. The Atrium 45's are way too bright-the Audyssey speaker calibration on my Onkyo 606 tried to match the combination, but I think it made the RTi's brighter than they would be with properly matched surrounds.
