Game Special Features
  • Features more than 150 never-before-seen Pokemon, more than any previous Pokemon video game has introduced. Until players complete the main adventure, they will only encounter these new Pokemon, creating a new experience that series fans and newcomers alike can enjoy for the first time.
  • Players assume the role of a young Pokemon Trainer who travels throughout the Unova region, catching and training Pokemon and battling other Trainers on a quest to become the Pokemon League Champion. Players must defeat other powerful Trainers while working to uncover the plans of the mysterious Team Plasma.
  • The in-game high-tech C-Gear lets players easily connect in a variety of ways. The C-Gear can connect to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection and sync with the Pokemon Global Link. When users are playing locally, they can use the C-Gear to trade Friend Codes, trade Pokemon and battle seamlessly.
  • Using IR technology that is built into the game card, it's faster than ever to set up battles and trades with nearby friends.
  • Xtransceiver lets players using a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL system connect via video chat using the system's camera. Up to four players can use the service locally, or two can use it via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection (each player needs his or her own system).
  • For the first time in a Pokemon video game, the seasons will change in the game world. Certain Pokemon appear more frequently during particular seasons, and players can only access some areas during a specific season.
  • Pokemon Global Link lets players save their game data to a website and enjoy their Pokemon outside of the game. When accessing the Pokemon Global Link, players can visit and customize the Pokemon Dream World to play minigames and watch their Pokemon's dreams; they can access the Global Battle Union to view their world ranking; and they can connect to the Global Trade Station, which lets them view their trades with other players.

Pokemon White is one of the best Pokemon games yet for many different reason. First of all the graphics are amazing. It is all 3D animation and everything is very detailed. There's a new season every month and the graphics change with it; for example if it is winter there will be snow falling and during fall there will be leaves everywhere. Also this game has the night and day features which brings back the fond memories of Gold/Silver/Crystal. There are many new Pokemons to catch and you can also have TRIPLE BATTLES. That means you can have 3 Pokemons battling at a time! There is also 2 great new wifi features. One of the ones is Random Battles; in this feature you do not have to put in a friend code or anything, you just hit search and the game finds you an opponent and you battle. Another is a new GTS feature; in this GTS you find a random person to trade with without putting any codes in, then you can compare Pokemons until you agree to a trade. The storyline is basic Pokemon story where a group of people try taking over the world and you have to save everybody. What makes it fun is all the new features and keeps the game fresh. There is GREAT REPLAY VALUE. If you enjoyed past Pokemon games you will love this one!

    Graphics - 10/10
    Gameplay - 9/10
Length - 32 hours basic plot, 48 hours entire plot. 100+ hours entire game.
Age - 6 and up, being able to read helps enjoy the game much more.
    Music - 7/10

Part of the reason this game gets such a good score out of me is because it's so much better than DPPt and about as good as RSE. It was like RSE in the way that there are an awful lot of derpy-looking Pokemon who look like they belong in another show entirely, but there was at least one good starter to choose from and a decent amount of not-retarded-looking ones to catch. It also didn't have the player doing a lot of level-grinding (although, if you do like me and fight the special monster in the shaking grass until your Pokemon are level 30 after only the second gym, you'll feel the benefits at the Elite 4), and the Gym Leaders were reasonably challenging to face. I don't really care for the graphics revamp; the sprites and the overworld look great, but the battle animations kind of suck, particularly when Pokemon use stat-boosting moves. I did, however, find it cool that the Pokemon change their appearance in battle when afflicted by a status effect (for example, closing their eyes when sleeping, darkening when burned). Your two friends are also a neat addition, as they constantly battle you which gives you more opportunities for experience, and they also give you items rather frequently. You meet up with them often, so it's like having your own Misty and Brock. I found it really entertaining, by the way, that Team Plasma is basically taking a stab at PETA--maybe Nintendo's way of commenting on PETA's relationship with Japan's whaling industries. I'll play any game where I can stick it to PETA. Overall, I enjoyed looking at the faces of new Pokemon (don't get me wrong, I love RBY; but I get really sick of training Pikachus all the damn time) and I love the game's theme and scenery and the little additions too, like the shaking bushes. It's worth at least one playthrough for seasoned Pokemon fans. I personally got my first game, Yellow version, when I was 5 years old. Been a Pokefan ever since.

A great new addition to the pokemon series. You'll never put it down!

Pokemon Black and White Versions are unique in many ways. They are the only versions beyond the original trio (Red, Blue, and Yellow [Red, Green, and Blue in Japan]) to not include Pokemon from the previous generation(s) until the national Pokedex is received. They are the only games to show Pokemon names with only the first letter capitalized, instead of all of the letters. They have the most new Pokemon of any generation, including the first. They are the only Versions whose region is based on a location outside of Japan. In the game, your character travels around the amazing Unova region training to become the best while thwarting the evil plans of Ghetsis the sage and his Team Plasma. On the way you will face the mighty Zekrom, the electric dragon from the legend of the Hero of Unova. The new C-gear feature makes wireless and Wi-Fi communications fun and easy to access so you can play with all your friends. A great game all round.

Excellent game to the Pokemon Series

    Created: 03/06/11
I got the game today, (the day it was actually release) and from what I can see, it is very well done. It is the pretty much the same idea as the other Pokemon games in the series, there is just a new region with new Pokemon and you are on a new adventure.

What i really like about the game is that there is only 150 or so Pokemon in the game and it gives you that feel from when you first played the original Blue and Red, only a few Pokemon where you have to learn them all over. you can get the rest after you beat the game so don't worry, The other...300 or so are in there, you just need to beat the game first. The Pokemon cries are much better than in previous versions. Plus the story is quite well done, Graphics are still about the same as Soul silver and Heart gold but still great.

There is not that much I didn't like, I guess just the fact that you could not trade over any of the 1st-4th generation Pokemon until you beat the game but really, that is not that bad. Another thing that kind of was annoying was your "best friends" that you get introduced to at the start, kind of weird that you have to be introduced though you are life time friends in the game. but other than that, it is great.

    Best edition to Pokemon ever!

    Created: 04/08/11
I happily own all of the Pokemon games released up until this point and can safely say that I find this game to be the best ever!

For starters, the graphics are incredible.. I am in love with the 3D variety that comes along with the new game and can only imagine how awesome it looks on the 3DS (which I regrettably, do not own).

The Pokemon themselves are very unique and I enjoyed the fact that none of the older pokemon were introduced until after the player has won.

Overall, however, I would say it takes a lot more work to beat the bosses than the other games... I am used to having one or two strong pokemon and being able to defeat the Elite 4, champion, and bosses with no issues by using just those, but this time I had to really work hard to level all of my pokemon up to high levels to have a clear shot at true victory.
