About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

Best Iron replacement made

Created: 09/06/10
Many people want to go with the G series Hybrids since they look somewhat like an iron.
I almost fell into this as well, that is until I hit the two clubs at an indoor range.
If you are more of a technical golfer not trying to kill the ball on every swing then the I Series Hybrids are the clubs for you. As well they only make these as replacements for your 3&4 irons.
Stance is fairly similar to that of your 3 iron and contact on the face is just so consistent.
I consistently hit this farther than a 2 iron and it tends to perform as well as my G15 - 5wood as a fairway club and better along the roughs and fringes. I love these hybrids in 20&23 degree lofts in fact I got rid on the 3 and 4 irons since they were just taking up space in my bag.

Best PING hybrid to date!

Created: 12/31/09
I purchased the Ping 20* i15 hybrid (equivalent to a 3-iron) and the club hits like a rocket. With the AxivCore red shaft, the ball soars through the air with a penetrating ball flight and lands softly for added control. Easy to hit out of the rough and sets up nicely if you want to work the ball. I loved the club so much I purchased a 23* a week later.

17 degree stiff ping i15

Created: 05/28/10
Its solid, Great feel when you hit it. Shaft a little too stiff for me but has a low kick point that works ok with the club. Wish the tip was alittle softer. I hit it well and wanted something for the long par 5s for better control for the par 5s. I think an okiz shaft woulb be a better fit. So.. I do recommend it for the 10 or less handicap.

Absolutely love this hybrid!!! The Ping i15 17 degree hybrid allows you to hit penetrating low shots or soft high shots with relative ease, while shaping your shot left or right. The perfect club for me between the yardages of 220 up to 240, ideal hybrid between my 3 wood and 3 or 4 iron. Looking forward to using it on a daily basis next spring after the snow melts here in Michigan. I CAN'T WAIT!!!

This is the 1st hybrid club that I have ever used by Ping and I fell in love with from the git go. I hit as short as 165yds and as long as 185yds with it. I make better contact and have much better results making solid contact with the ball with this club than I ever have had with anything else. Bottom line--money well spent....
