Started playing golf again after ten years of not playing. Hey marriage for the first time at age 40 will do that to you. Anyway, pulled out the old clubs, Ping Zing. And could hit them as far as my buddies with their modern day metal woods. I was more acurate withy my woods than my irons so I bought a Ping Zing 7 Wood on Ebay. This club is acurate, acurate, acurate, and if you need to work a draw or fade you can. perfect 190 yard club.
I have owned the driver, 3 and 5 wood for years. The new graphite drivers outdrive the Ping Wood Driver anyday, but the fairway woods are still "real" shot makers. They play better than a hybrid iron with a big head and they land soft and the sound of the hit is just as you would suspect a piece of wood to sound like and the vibration is very soft on the hands. You can literally manipulate the shot and their distances are very comparable. The 5 wood has always played 210-225 and the 3 wood has been 220-235 for me and I generally shoot about 9 to 12 over par. I always receive favorable remarks on their appearance, because they are a great piece of work. Just make sure you keep your headcovers on them, because they will blemish and get nicked if you don't maintain them - they are wood. The blonde woods are easier to maintain than the black woods that came out later and they don't show the scratches like the black woods. Good luck and hittem straight!
This is a very nice golf club. My husband has always liked the lamenated woods better than the metal ones. He's very pleased with this club.
These woods changed my confidence level and they will hit the ball as far as you can. I have three sets 7 to 1. I love the feel the sound at contact and the way other players are amazed at the way they work as well or better than the metal clubs. Remember these were the clubs 25 ,30 years ago were best thing on the tour , besides the fact that they are beautifully finished in both the black and the blond.
I love the Pings. Great shape for the type of clubs. These are the last Ping woods. Thanks Overall the clubs are great if you prefer the feel of wooden woods. They aren't that easy to find in such great shape and this is what made me buy these woods. Very thing was great and I really have no dislikes or disagreements at all. Thanks
