About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

The perimeter weighting means off-hits can still get close to their targets even if they lose some distance. High moment of inertia (no twist) keeps off-center shots online. A flat non-dragging sole design reduces ground contact for a smoother swing and fluid follow-thru.

) Light, odd looking and totally wonderful. I have been a user of Ping irons since 1974 and the Ping Zing line is the ultimate in forgiving playability. I usually hit a straight ball so I can't comment on the ease of shaping a shot with these irons but for the average once a week golfer like me these clubs are fabulous. Nice size hitting area, nice offset, great alignment, great distance even on off center hits and yes they look like they came from outer space...but I love them. One of the best sets of irons I have ever owned and with the graphite shafts.....PRIMO. Whether you play once a week or every single day I don't believe you can find a better set of irons....and to top it off they're Pings for goodness sakes. So if you get the opportunity pick up a set, you won't be disappointed....and when your friends ask where you got your odd looking set of clubs, crack a shot onto the green and tell them your alien abduction story.

) These Irons are awsome, I have played with many high priced irons and always come back to my old Zing's. The only problem I have with the Zing 2's is if your playing on very hard fairway's. I seems to be hard to get the club under the ball, due to the curved sole. You have to be right on! If your off center like off the toe, the shot will fly way off target. The regular Zings seem to be more forgiving on off center hits on hard surfaces, I believe this is due to the flatter soles on the regular Zings. If you play on soft fairway's you can't find a better Iron than the Zing 2's. I have a set of both and use them according to the conditions of the fairway's. If you play on soft fairway's the Zing 2 is the better Iron! Be sure and check for a nice even divot to be sure your using the correct color code!

I love Pings! This set is one of the most forgiving golf club sets ever devised. I already use a knock-off set similar to the Zings. My most favorite set of Ping was stolen from my garage several years ago. This set will do fine in replacing it. Also, the seller included a putter i've been looking for and a driving iron! An excellent buy to play with or keepsake!

) The ping Zing2 irons are everything the Ping Guru said they would . I am a high handicapper and the irons get the ball up and send them far. The condition of the irons were everything that "minitooth" said they were and they were very prompt sending me the product. My friends said that I should've spent the money on new clubs that have better technology but I'm very happy with my Pings. Ping company should pay the Guru a commission on new and used club sales.
