About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

Ping TiSi Tec Driver 8 degree is a very reliable driver

Created: 06/09/08
First and foremost, what I like about his particular club is the overall look. For most good golfers, when it comes to actually playing some small ball, their intentions don’t boil down to having the most expensive golf clubs, or most popular brand. However, since I have been a golfer for most of my life, now at age 27, I have used several different varieties of clubs, not to mention drivers, of which I now have six. For the majority of us, it usually comes down to how we feel with the club in hand on a tight par 5 standing on the tee. If I am not at peace with the way for which the club looks or sets up, then usually I will not be hitting it very well. When I saw the Ping TiSi, I knew that it would be something that I would feel comfortable with. Especially now that drivers are becoming almost ridiculously large in club head size, this particular design, is bigger than all the others which I had previously owned, but not quite as big as you can get. I am not really ready for a 460cc! As for myself; simply the nice round look to the TiSi gives me a satisfaction off the tee in order to hit those much needed straight 280+ drives.

As for changes made, I already did make one change, which was to re grip the club using a super tacky winngrip tour rap grip. I like a super tacky feel on my driver for obvious reasons, which is that they practically stick to your hands! If there were one thing to change about the club other than the grip which has already been done, I would probably go for the shaft next. I have a real nice Ping Si3 that I actually am currently using. This amazing driver has a beautiful Grafalloy blue stiff shaft and I can hit it a mile. The two drivers are not the same, however like I said earlier, I am not looking to go most expensive, top brand etc etc, therefore I like the blue shaft of the Si3, and am thinking about putting one into the Ping TiSi Tec. My reasons for this are probably much different than what most of you may think to yourselves, however I love to have a nice looking golf club in my hand. The bright blue shaft tops it off! It helps me concentrate, and gives me much more confidence in order to smash my drive.

When all is said and done... I give the Ping TiSi Tec a 10 out of 10 for anyone who is within the 0-7 handicap range. It will improve your game and also give you a very quality golf club. If you have a chance to hit one, or even buy one for a great price like I did, I would not hesitate for even a moment.

Ping TiSi Tec Driver

I decided to buy this driver because I own Ping irons, and I know the quality of the materials used by Ping are top of the line. It's a sold felling Ti head with a great standard Ping shaft. It's an older model, but when you swing the club and make solid contact with the ball on the sweet spot, you can bearly feel the impact. On my first round I hit a 300yd drive. I've played Taylormade ,King Cobras, and other named brand drivers, and found this TiSi Tec Driver to be longer, and more forgiving. The auction price was great, and the condition was good.

Great price, best driver I've ever used

I had a King Cobra driver and fairway woods. My son wanted a set of King Cobra Woods to match his irons. When I saw the price of the Ping Tisi Tec driver on ebay I figured I would get it and try it; if I liked it I would let my son take my woods; if I did not like it I would not be out that much money. I absolutely loved it! I have hit the ball long and straight almost every time I've used it. I seldom miss the fairway with the Tisi Tec. The best decisions I've ever made concerning golf!

Ping TISI Tec Driver

Ping makes some of the best golf club drivers that is on the market and this one that I brought is about 2 years old. I bid on it and got it for a good price. I had been looking for a ping driver and this one looked good to me and it is in real good shape. I think I will like it a lot. It had one ball scratch on the head of the club, a new grib and the shaft was in excellent shape. If I can only drive with it but it won't be the club falt if I can't.

ping driver tisi tec club

I had tested six different brands of clubs when I gave Ping a try. What a delight to see the ball soar 30% farther and higher than I thought was possible. This club is very easy to hit and makes up for a real lot of human error,SO if your can handle a older design at 75% discount this is the club for you. AS for me I got one and will not give it up..
