The Ping G5 Iron set is good for beginners and high handicappers. Most of the golfers find these Irons extremely easy to hit. Enhanced perimeter weighting makes the Ping G5 Iron set very forgiving. Golfers can get away with slight swing imperfections while using these Golf clubs. The perimeter weighting allows making consistent shots even when striking the ball outside the sweet spot. With a large head, these Golf clubs promise more consistent shots. The feel of Ping G5 Iron set makes you more confident when hitting the ball. Better ground impact is achieved with the help of the radius of lead edges. A better ground impact means a better ball impact for you.
About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

I love my Ping G5 Irons

) I recently upgrades my golf club set from the Ping Zings to the Ping G5's. The old set was the hottest thing going in the early 90's and I always thought what was good then must be good now.....until I hit the G5's. They are simply so forgiving that they will elevate an 18 indexed player like myself and save me a few shots per round. The design is so forgiving that off center hits and balls that would have gone half their normal distance or off to one side with my old clubs, go straight and far and feel solid with this club. It won't hit the ball for you but golf is a game of consistency and if you're not a single handi-capper, these clubs will add consistency to your game for you. Everyone else is taking advantage of the technology, so why not you too?
I love them and with a market like e-bay, I sold my old clubs and upgraded to the new clubs for just a few hundred bucks.......much better than paying $1,000 for new clubs at the retail shops.

Finally went to graphite shaft. Played Ping Eye 2+ ZZ lite steel shafts for last 15 years. Did well with them (13-15 hdcp) until I hit 60 yrs old. LOVE Pings. Went to local Demo Day and tried Ping's soft shaft. Soooo much easier to hit for my old bones and muscles. G5 irons appealed to my eye and budget. Went to ebay and got as lucky as a 4-leaf clover bidding on like new G5 graphite soft shaft irons. First round with them at my favorite Club course I scored two birdies on the front 9 par 3s! Then another on a back 9 par 4! These irons are dead on and so sweet to swing! I should have gotten them sooner...but... I loved my Eye 2+ as much as I now love my like new G5's. 'I was so much older then...I'm younger than that now..' thanks to my lovely, trusty PINGS.

I dont know that much about golf and have not used to many different types of clubs, but I have had awesome luck with the Ping G5's. I just started golfing last year but I let one of my friends who has been golfing for a long time use them and he said they were awesome and he was going to buy a set of them for himself. Only been golfing two times this year and have done really decent. Last year I had a cheap set of Ram clubs and did really crappy, but I got custom fitted and got the Ping G5's and have improved my game 10fold.

I was looking for a set of used irons in excellent shape and found them with this seller. They arrived in good time and were in like-new condition. I have been able to use them at least once or twice a week this summer and have enjoyed playing and improving during several great rounds of golf with them. What a find!

Ping G5 Irons with Reg CS Lite Shafts 4-LW

I have owned 3 sets of G5s at different times and currently own a set that will remain in my bag. Ping has a winner here and hope they keep making this club for many years to come. I'm a 13 handicapper, used to be a 5 until my back problems, and tried about every new club out there. That was alot of JING to learn a lesson.
The Pings Do Everything that they were designed to do. They're longer than most clubs with the CS Lite Shaft, little vibration, good feedback and lots of spin, especially when using softer balls like the Titleist V1s and even the Topflite D2s with feel.
I have Titleist Vokey and Cleveland Wedges and find that the G5 wedges hit straighter, higher, lower and have lots of jism (spin) when needed. Out of the trap is a cinch-had a set of F2 wedges and they were sold- no comparison.
These clubs have given me more than my money's worth in wins and always feel confident that the ball will always go where I want it to go.
Motto of the Story: "If It Ain't Broke, Don't Change Clubs!"
