| The center of gravity in the Ping G20 golf club is well positioned with the help of an external weight designed to give you a high launch. The variable-thickness face of this Ping driver increases ball speed and MOI for maximum forgiveness. This driver golf club uses Ti 8-1-1 alloy in the clubhead and has a high strength-to-weight ratio that maximizes moment of inertia on vertical and horizontal axes. The varying wall thicknesses in the crown and body of this driver golf club give you an optimized performance. The innovative technology used in this Ping driver lowers spin to maximize the distance. Deliver your best shots with the Ping G20 golf club. | |

I have been a Ping man since they created the first titanium driver I ever saw. I was so impressed with that club that I have been a Ping man for hybrids, fairway woods and when they introduced the first set of standard looking irons I got a set with graphite shafts. I put away the two and three Iron and carried the Hybrid which still is far and away the best I have played.
When I saw this driver right after the "Bubba" show at the masters,I could not resist. It was time for an equipment upgrade and this was unique. It is a limited edition golf club and the store I got it at said it was the "only one" in my State! He said they had asked for more but got only one here and I got it because I called the very day it was announced.
I love the feel of the club and I love that it is and always will be unique! I would have bought the regular g-20 anyway and although, this was much more expensive for a life long golfer looking for a technology upgrade it was just awesome.
I tried a bunch of other stuff but at the end of the day no other club I tried felt and performed like this one.
I admit that the very cool look of it and the rarity did influence me but it played the best for me and the "kicker" is that should "Bubba" achieve elite status the club will become priceless. This club felt better than the g-10,the g-15 and you gotta love the unique look and the monster performance.
I am 25 yards longer off the tee and I have wonderful control of direction. Hit it solid and it goes real far and real straight. The engineering of the club i-e the power design with the mass in the back just feels great and the results work for me!
There's something special about Ping and this is the "best" driver, the most limited addition so,you buy one of these if you're lucky cause there won't be any more ever made!!
I bought a Ping G20 driver after trying my friends G20. I normally drive the ball 225 yards give or take a yard or so. However with the Ping G20 I have gained 15-20 on every drive. Even the off center hits fly further. My other driver was a name brand driver and I used the same brand ball each time. I can't explain why I have gained the extra yards but I'm not complaining. The club feels great and looks good at address. Now when I'm over the ball I know I will be hitting the fairway and hitting it long and straight. I am an 8 handicap but with this club in the bag I can see the handicap will be going down.
I'm a single digit handicap who has trouble driving the ball straight. I upgraded to the G20 from an old Ping Rapture, so I was inspecting a lot of improvement. I could not have guessed however, how great this club would be. The very first drive I hit went perfectly straight, relatively high and had about 300 yards of carry. I was averaging around 280-290 yards which is about a 10 yard increase, but there is really no cap to how far you can hit this club. The nonconventional weighting encourages you to slow your swing down and hit the club in the middle of the face. When I went after the ball, even moving as fast as I could, I still felt like I could get more distance out of it, (which would be some unbelievable carry!) This is obviously no problem, and could be very useful when controlling the driver for me. This club really straightened out my natural hook and eliminated my snap hook miss. Although I can still turn the ball left, sharp hooks take much longer to rotate than with any other driver I've hit. When I kept my hands straight the ball pushed very slightly to the right and had a weak fade. The ball just kind of floats up and drops out of the air suddenly. I wasn't getting much roll but I suspect this is because I bought the 10.5 degree version. I maybe should have bought the lower loft (9.5) because this driver will launch your ball very high in the air. I cannot wait to take this club on the course and watch my scores improve from playing in the fairway.
I bought the G20 when the prices came down. It's very similar to my G15. Just getting up to date on the recent issue from Ping. I honestly believe that Ping offers a bit more forgiveness in all of their clubs. And when my swing is grooved, I'll hit almost any club well. I have to like the look of the club when set down behind the ball at address. Aesthetics then becomes a boost in feeling confident that if swing and tempo are working that day, I'll play well.
This is the best driver PING has ever made. Set up really well and is very forgiving. You can move the ball but its hard to hit big slices or hooks.
The stock TFC 169 shaft is really stiff.....more like x.
