About the Manufacturer
Engineer and inventor Karsten Solheim got his start as an engineer working for GE in Ithaca, New York. His passion for the game set him on a journey to create a better putter. At the time he thought he was simply building it for his own personal use, but in 1959, Karsten’s ongoing garage experiments yielded an innovative putter he called 1A design. This putter had very distinctive design qualities, among them, a unique tone at impact, a sound that would echo throughout the game for generations to come…“Ping.” The Anser putter began a long and proud history of truly innovative equipment design throughout Ping’s entire product line (ultimately resulting in over 400 patents) that has set Ping at the top of the list of golf design and manufacturing companies. The company is headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Karsten Solheim has passed away and his son John has taken the helm.

Amazing technology!

Created: 04/06/10
I am a retired tour pro for almost 20 years. I always loved my long irons. In fact, my 1 iron was my favorite club. I always used it on narrow fairways. Since the appearance of hybrids, it has become increasingly difficult to find even a 2 iron. The manufacturers will build them for the touring pros but it's nearly impossible to find one. I first hit the G-15 club at a Ping demo day at my local golf course. I immediately fell in love. This club feels more like an iron than a hybrid, yet it flys almost like a driver. I was almost frightened by the distance. I hit this club as long and as high as my 3 wood, but as straight as my 3 iron. I am now thinking that I may yet buy another G-15, possibly the 20* to replace my taylormade hybrid. I offer my heartfelt thanks to Ping once again for their significant R and D as they continue to set precedents in the golf world.

Ping G15 Hybrid Fairway Wood

Created: 04/04/11
As a 50+ aged golfer, I had been strugling to hit my 5 iron consistently into longer par 4's. A fellow scratch 60+ golfing friend of mine had already replaced his 5 iron with a hybrid. I decided if it was good enough for a scratch golfer, it could only help a 6 handicapper as well. I had Ping I10 hybrids in my 4 and 3 irons, but sometimes struggled with hitting them at the target. I tried some demo G15's out and found them more forgiving. I recently purchased the 27 degree G15 Hybrid and found it extremely easy to hit and can actually work it both ways. I have mcuh more confidence in my 175-185 yard shots. I was so pleased with it that I got the 23 and 20 degree hybrids as well. They are not the prettiest thing to look at when addressing the ball, but who cares if they save you some strokes and hit more greens in regulation! Don't knock em until you try them.

Love the Ping Hybrid

Created: 11/30/10
This hybrid is the easiest to hit I have ever tried. Swing like it is an iron and the contact is solid and crisp. The length, lie and feel is more like an iron than a typical hybrid and for the mid to high handicap player, it is truly an easy club to hit.

Paul's Review

Created: 10/30/10
This club improved my game because it is a hybrid and it takes the place of my long irons. I feel it is better for senior golfers because it is easier than long irons to hit.

Best Hybrid I've ever hit!

Created: 06/04/10
The Ping G15 just feels better in my grip and swings more fluidly than any other hybrid I've every hit. The balance is excellent and the resulting ball striking is the best I've experienced.

I tried a friend's and just had to have one. Now, I've just purchased two others to fill out a set. Not many pure irons left in the bag.
