| Sleek and strong, the Ping G15 driver is a long-distance golf club suitable for teeing off. The Ping G15 features an external weight pad on the sole of its stainless steel head, providing a low center of gravity and higher trajectories. The Ping golf driver has a high degree of forgiveness, which improves the accuracy on even off-center hits. The TFC 149D shaft of the Ping golf driver boosts the moment of inertia, for enhanced stability, and also increases the ball speed. Enjoy your game with this high-performance, long-distance golf club. | |

Like having an old friend. Reliable, predictable and a pleasure to have around. I am 67 years old and have been chasing golf balls for 30 years with a handicap from 3-15 as arthritus and a bad back kicks in.
This driver is long both off the center of the face and anyother parts of the face. The sound is very solid with a pleasing feedback. I went from a stiff to a Regular and found that I could get more height on my drives along with alot of roll.
The shaft and the clubhead are a perfect match for my swing. I suggest trying several drivers on the range and course if demos are available. Many driving ranges have 85% soft hitting golf balls. Ideally, hitting with the ball you normally use on the course is the real test of this club.
Be patient and let the clubhead do the work while holding the grip like a fresh egg.
The price is excellent for the overall quality of a great club...rated very high with "Golf Digest".
hope this helps!

Light weight. CAn generte more club head speed. Seem to hit on frozen ropes. Love this stick. The reviews I've seen in Golf Magazine say that the Ping G15 is the best most forgiving of all the new Titanium Drives.
I bought the G15 because I have always played Ping equipment. WOW is this thing long and forgiving! I was hitting my Callaway Ft-3 about 265 consistently and straight. I got bored of it and wanted something new. At first I was worried this would not be smart as I was hitting my former driver great. I no longer feel that way...275 average and the thing seems to never go OB...at worst a few yards off into the rough but ALWAYS IN PLAY - no wasted strokes! Finding more greens in reg now and gettin the handicap down. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
The launch monitor told me that I needed a driver with a 12 degree loft and a regular shaft to better leverage my slow swing speed and flat swing plane. Luckily, Ping has a good assortment of 12 degree drivers. My carry distance improved from 188 yards to 215 yards. With the additional roll, I am hitting more greens in regulation on the par 4's and par 5's. The best investment ever made in golf is lessons followed by the launch monitor analysis and culminating with the Ping 12 degree G15 driver.
I switched to the G15 9 degree with an extra stiff TFC shaft after hitting the Ping i15 8 degree, extra stiff for about 6 months. Length is comparable, but the G15 is waaay is easier to hit. Ball carries a long way, and distance is not too compromised into the wind. Club sits up squarely and the ball tends to draw easily (but does not turn into a hook). Those looking for an easy to hit but also length-producing driver should be pleased.
