good dvd player, have had no problems with the playing of a dvd. Where I think that it needs work is in the features / programming. You can view how far into the show that you are, or how long you have left on the screen / display on the front, but not both. If you have it set to display time into the show, then the only way to see how long the show is, or how long you have left is to go into the menu, then scroll down the list to find the information that you want. If you dont need to, or want to see that information, then it is minor detail. I use that for when you are watching a movie and want to see how long is left to decide whether to finish the movie or put it on hold if something happens that I need to get up or do something. another feature that is missing is that there usually is 2 menu buttons, disk menu and title menu. this only has the disk menu. The remote is OK. It reminds me of an upside down triangle with the point cut off. Why I am pointing this out is for me, because of the angles sides, when I try to hit the button with one hand, it tends to slide around in my hand a bit. Not good if you have problems with your hands or if you stack remotes. The front of the DVD player only has 3 buttons.. Power, stop / eject, and play/pause. But I guess that is the norm for players these days. The quality of the DVD player and the remote is good. I have never had a problem playing any dvd. Overall, it is a good player and worth what I spent.
This is an excellent slim-profile DVD player with many good features.
For one it is multi-region, playing all world-wide DVD discs.
Second, the player connects via HDMI. Full stereo digital sound and picture quality. That HDMI can eliminate one extra remote control if you like.
Third, it plays downloads via a USB flash drive port. So if you download movie or music files onto a flash drive, there is no need for DVD's or CD's. That saves space and cost.
Which brings us to the best feature being the very low cost of this player. A remarkable player at good value.
I bought this dvd player because it plays everything. I enjoy burning and dowloading movies online and this dvd player plays them. I got it strictly for the Divx ability. I can put 5 movies on a blank dvd and play them. What else can you ask for. Divx is it for downloading and playing movies on this dvd player.
Compact compared to most DVD's. Plays every format I have tried - just as the literature indicates. Very easy to use out of the box. Plug it it, attached HDMI cable to HDTV - pop in a DVD/CD - hit OK (play). Plays DVD's that I have recorded with Toshiba DVD recorder with ease.
Only way to improve this device is to come out in the future with one that records to DVD! You can't go wrong with this DVD and what a bargain.
love it for the usb port,,upconverting,,and
awsome sound quality! And it was easy on the wallet!
I first saw one of these type players a year or two ago,,and decided I would get one soon,,but the price kept me away,,no longer,,the philips DVP3560
has everything I wanted,at a price I can afford!
