With sleek dimensions less than five inches in width and just over one inch in thickness, this Pentax digital camera is waterproof to 33 ft so it can shoot pictures under water. The reinforced polycarbonate body is crush-proof to withstand up to 220 lbs of force. This camera is also dust proof, shockproof from up to a drop of five feet, and cold proof up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. An enhanced digital microscope mode of this 14 MP digital camera provides five macro LEDs that capture details and focus perfectly on close-up images. At the same time, this 14 MP digital camera has the ability to shoot high-definition movies with a resolution of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second. An HDMI port on the Pentax Optio WG-1 enables these high-definition videos and images to be played back on HD televisions. This one awesome little camera! I bought it to use on vacation, because of it being water proof. It takes amazing pictures, so well, that must of the time we left the DSL in the hut! The panorama feature is very easy and pix come out great. The underwater pixs are also the best that I have ever taken in many years of trying! Do get some kind of a floating wrist strap or similer so that you do not lose this camera in the deep water. Thank you Pentax!

Nice little camera great for bike riding and canoing. Shoots all outdoor pictures with ease and can take good low light level sun rises/sets by reducing the ISO speed to 200 and mounting in a tripod. Comes with a lens snap in ring that takes standard 46 MM filters - good for adding a ND filter to help slow the shutter speed for special effects on bright days.

pictures are quite good. very durable camera I purchased knowing it would need to take some outdoor abuse. so far no problems on camping/backpacking trip and kayaking trip. viewer prone to scrarching/damage by included carabiner. use a screen protector. adequate so far.

I am a boat captain and take a lot of pictures on the water, this camera has taken some awesome wildlife action pictures. It is pretty user friendly but I suggest reading the instructions to get most out of this camera. It has a microscope setting that takes unbelievable close ups. Haven't tried it underwater yet, after reading the underwater guidlines for this camera, I became a little concerned, if underwater filming is a must you may want to investigate heavier duty underwater dive cameras. Overall this is the best camera I have owned for the money, I have had sony and nikkon in the past.
