) I can't believe how good this little amp head sounds. I own over 30 classic and modern tube guitar amps (Vox, Fender, Marshall, Mesa, Blankenship, Ampeg, Supro, etc.) and this little amp hangs right in there with them. I had my tech switch out the 16 ohm tap on the output tranny for the 8 ohm so it would be more compatible with more of my speaker cabs. I also had him put in new JJ EL84 power tubes. Peavey thought of everything with these amps. There are wire tube retainers to cut down on the tube rattle that can occur with these amps. There's even two hooks on the back that let you wrap up your power cord. The short reverb tank sounds just fine for all but the most reverb drenched surf sounds. Unbelievable sound from an inexpensive little printed circuit board amp. For 285.00 used it just can't be beat.

This is one great little amp! Great sound, volume, small, easy to carry, great bass and treble response! Could use a standby switch.

For the value this is one of the best amps you could get, i own 14 of them and i love them all!!!!!!
