Great information - very well-rounded. Written in plain English that appeals to your common sense - points out the attractive aspects of the sport, as well as addressing the more serious responsibilities that the participant has to consider when comtemplating the activity.

This is an excellent first level primer on paragliding, with a broad range of technical and skill related information, sufficient orientation about risks and safety, and a good broad discussion of the sport. Can't go wrong on this purchase if you are just getting into the sport, or are thinking about it. I bought it because my daughter is dating a champion paraglider, so I could be the cool dad who knows the lingo. Now I think I will get certified to be a pilot.....

i really like this book and have read every page ...it had tips on things i did
not know. And i would say this is a good book for beginners and others as well.
and its a good quality book good paper not some cheap paper that will fall apart
after some use. good color photos too!

I am a beginning paraglider and wanted an overview of the sport. This book was what I was looking for. If you are already into the sport you won't find much here you don't know. However, if you want to know what it's all about and learn the basics it's a great book.
