The Pantech Ease has a beautiful capacitive touch-screen display and a sturdy slider QWERTY keyboard. It has two modes: the Easy mode is cleverly designed for cell phone novices and senior citizens; advanced users will like the 2-megapixel camera, music player, and 3G speeds. Call quality is great thanks to a noise suppression technology.
We understand the need to separate different features for Easy and Advanced modes, but we sometimes find the categorization to be arbitrary. For example, a pill reminder and pedometer aren't available in Advanced mode, and notepad and stopwatch aren't in Easy mode.
Though we have a few quibbles with it, the Pantech Ease is overall a smart hybrid that will please both grandparents and grandchildren alike.

This is a great phone! I got one for my husband and then I liked it so much that I got one for myself too. I love the fact that you can put the phone into advanced mode or easy mode. We keep ours in easy mode most of the time. And it is indeed super easy to use. I do occasionally hit too many buttons on the touch screen all at the same time, but I think that touchscreens need to be sensitive and I just try to type too fast sometimes. Overall, this is a great phone and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who does not need a smart phone but who wants one that is as fun to use as a smart phone. Enjoy :)
I had a Pantech Ease which, sadly, fell into the street and got run over. Amazingly, even though the glass was shattered and phone dented, it still works...you just can't read what's on the screen.
I wanted to replace it with the same phone since I liked its ease of usage, full keyboard, as well as the fact you can use a simple mode and a full mode with internet access and all the bells and whistles.
So I went to ebay to purchase a used one and am quite satisfied with my ebay experience and the phone!
I purchased the Ease about two years ago through my ATT plan. It is time for a new phone, so I have been looking. ATT offers nothing with the large qwerty keys and large light up font on texts. I bought another brand phone on ebay hoping for a change. Well, forget that. That phone is going in the junk drawer and I just ordered another Pantech Ease. I love, love, love the fact that you don't need a data plan, the keys on the keyboard are a good size, and most importantly, that the font size is large so that texts are easy to read without grabbing my reading glasses. The battery could be better, but it is doable--not really any worse than any other phone I have owned.
I have thoroughly enjoyed by Pantech Ease. The touch screen is amazing, and the best feature are the keys which light up and are larger. Absolutely the best phone I've ever had!
I got this for my mom and it works great. It's her first touch screen and qwerty keyboard and the "easy" mode is a great starting point.
