After spending some good amount of time with this phone I can say that my experience with it has been mostly positive. It is a solid performing, slick looking budget friendly device that has some nice features for the price. It is far from perfect but overall offers more than what you would normally get from other devices at this price point. The only real issue with it is the battery life is a little below average. That said there are a few things you can do to get a little more life out of it. One thing is to charge the battery for about 20-30 minutes after it reaches 100% since there seems to be a little difference in the displayed battery life and the actual remaining life. I found this out by testing a few times and it lasted longer this way. Another minor battery glitch I noticed is when turning off and back on the displayed battery drops about 10-15% lower than when you had it on. I know this is a glitch because the battery wont go lower unless you use it for quite a bit longer ( aparently this is when it actually reaches the displayed remaining percent). Other ways to improve battery life are to disconnect all wireless signals (wifi, bluetooth, data network, GPS) when not in use, keep the screen at lowest brightness and make sure to kill all apps when not in use. Also try using a dark colored non-live wallpaper as background and set widgets to update manually only. Another option would be to purchase a Mugen extended battery, but I can't say if it improves too much since I don't own one and have my doubts as the capacity is 1800MaH vs the original's 1680MaH so it may not make much a diferrence. Moving on, like I said before, everything else on the Pantech Burst is good considering the price point on it and should be enough to satisfy the consumers that want a feature rich phone but don't want to sacrifice their wallets.
This is a full featured phone that hangs in there with the big boys. The only set back is the camera response which is a bit slow. But for me if I want to take professional photos I use my standalone camera. With a bit of patience the photos come out great with good quality and the HD video is really good too. You can't go wrong if you are in a budget. It will impress people and they will ask immediately what brand it is right away confusing it with the more expensive high end brands. Best of all with 16GB of internal memory ROM, 1GB RAM, dual core Qualcomm CPU and expandable memory you can take work with you on the road.
The pantech burst is a great phone works great. I have a unlocked one and I use it with net 10. With net 10 I have 4g with only paying $50 a month for unlimited talk, text, and data. The pantech burst can also upgrade to ics. Just go to www.pantechuaa.com and find the phone and it will walk you through how to update it. But with that being said gingerbread works great. I read the reviews on how the phone works on ice and only about 30% of people were satisfied with it so I chose not to update it. It has a great rear camera and it also has a front facing camera overall it's a great phone if you're thinking about purchasing one I'm letting you know it works great. It also has built in memory I think 16gb so there is no need to buy a micro SD card.
The phone does what it says. I used my t-mobile sim card and I didn't have any problems making phone calls or taking them. The speakers aren't the best but the speed of the phone is good and it currently has an Android update for ICS. I wish they used a bigger battery for this phone. The 4" screen size is good and the display is pretty good also. If you can get this phone for $100, then you won't be disappointed.
I originally wanted a device that had a front facing camera. I feel in love with the samsung droid charge but sadly it wasnt one of the phones that could be easily flashed to the page plus network and i looked around for another phone and the pantech burst was my 3rd option. Pantech burst was purchased dirt cheap and packed with multiple features i love this device; i've downloaded multiple games and other applications and i still have a reasonable amount of space left unlike with my HTC i would have to often delete apps to make space for sms and mms. The front facing camera and the rear cameras SUCK!!! They could use a boost of improvements but for 80 buck im not complaining!
