The Pantech Breeze c520 is a great phone for us old fogeys! Large numbers and large keys, extra loud volume, bright screen with large letters, and 3 hot keys for 911 and quick dials. I got this for my mom - she's 73 and it's her first cell phone. She's thrilled, and so am I!
Also I have sold many (we own a used cell phone store) to older people, and so far it's been really good. Only one has had any reception issues, and I think that was just a bad phone, or a location that was way to far out in the country to get good AT&T reception. There's never a perfect phone for every person.
Overall, I look for this sleek, simple, phone whenever I can get it to resell - it's a gem.
The Pantech Breeze C520 has been a great phone for me. It will text and do some web tasks but I have both those features disabled by my provider. I simply want a telephone for talking, nothing more, that is reliable, friendly, and talks clearly. The Breeze has been all of those for me.
I would highly recommend this phone for anyone who simply wants reliable telephone communications and is not enamored with all the bells and whistles of the more technologically advanced phones and the attention they demand. The Breeze is aptly names because it is a breeze to use.
I rate the phone as "Good" rather than "Excellent" because the charger/accessory connector broke on my first one after two years use, but I liked the phone enough to buy the same model to replace it, and bought the Square Trade warranty to cover it this time. My wife has used the same model for over two years with no troubles yet.
Of course, I do not consider one battery replacement for each phone out of two years to be any negative factor. If I had not had the one mechanical failure I would have given the Breeze an Ëxcellent rating without question.
This cell phone from AT&T is the nearest they have to something like the "Jitterbug". A great phone for older (and other) people who prefer a simple, easy to use unit with large buttons. There are two settings, "Breeze and Advanced". Even though it's a great basic phone which I got for my parents it's also full featured. So much so that I traded in my LG VU for one as well.
This is a Phone for Seniors! I like it too! My folks love this phone because of big buttons, large display and easy to use. It also talks when you dial. I like it because it is sturdy with long life battery. Our family chose a breeze system for everyone because the batteries and chargers are interchangeable. The "breeze mode" offers a simple menu with dedicated buttons for speaker phone and camera. Show this to your parent or loved one; set a few family speed dial buttons and they are good to go!
If you want easy to use, easy to read, dependable and sturdy, try this phone for $49 or less at eBay.
This phone was bought as a replacement cellular phone for an elderly person who only needs the basic functions with the exception of also requiring the Bluetooth technology for hands free usage in the car if the car is equipped with the Bluetooth option. The size of the key pad is comfortable and the capability of enlarging text in the internal display panel are ideal for people with less than optimal vision. More useful functions are included with this simple unit. The cell phone is of a comfortable size and feel for someone with large hands. Only dislike about this model of Pantech phone is the lack of an external charging indicator light which the newer version of this model (Breeze II) has.
Overall I find it to be a sturdy cell phone at a good price.
