) After seeing my brothers 50, I bought the 42 the next day. Best picture I've seen that wasnt a Pioneer Premier. My wife and I are media junkies and have flat-panels in every room that has a chair; of them all (excluding the Premier of course), this Panasonic handles hd-dvd picture the best as well as being the sharpest with 720i output from the Xbox 360. If you are thinking of getting an off brand like Vizio or Akai because of the price, shop around and you will find places were you can this TV for nearly the same price, and the difference huge. We use this TV in the game room/office and nearly everyone that play a next-gen game on it make commments about how good the picture looks.
