VIERA incorporates technology that analyzes picture information in both the preceding and succeeding frames, and creates a precise supplementary frame between them. This suppresses the jerky effect seen in movies, so playback is smooth and natural-looking. The distinctive tonal qualities and atmosphere of the movie are preserved, and you enjoy extremely lifelike 3D images.

Frame Sequential Technology
Panasonic uses Full-HD Frame Sequential technology to create its 3D images. Images recorded in 1920 x 1080 pixels for both the right-eye and the left-eye alternately flash on the screen at the ultra-high rate of 120 frames per second. When you view the screen through active-shutter glasses that open and close each lens in sync with the alternating images, you see breathtaking FULL HD 3D pictures with stunning power and realism.

Brilliant Luminance and Superb Blacks

By combining the highly light-transmissive IPS Alpha Panel and high-brightness backlight, Panasonic have attained both high contrast and low power consumption. Also, by detecting the contrasting parts of the scene, the backlight is adjusted to maintain a brightness that is optimal for each area. Deep blacks are reproduced with no fading. The contrast between the brilliance of diamond-like stars and the deep black of the night sky produces a sharp, crisp image.

600Hz Sub-field Drive
600Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. I've had this unit for about 6 months now. It has given me No problems and has No issues! I have it in a rather small bedroom and as such I am viewing it from only about six feet away. I really don't know how even the "pro's" can rate any type of video product. What I think is a fantastic picture... which I do... you may think that I've lost my mind and prefer the picture looking the exact opposite, and the "pro's" will say that we're both crazy. The truth is that everyone is different and have their own idea as to what they like and dislike! Based on that observance, MY PERSONAL viewing experience is positive! The blacks are very black, the colors appear clear, clean, and vibrant. I continually remark on how pleased I am with the overall picture. HD shows are noticeably... well... bam, better than in a theater! The 3D is cool, although only one station (ESPN) is available to me at this time through Verizon FiOS. Even though you need special glasses to view 3D, they're not like the red and blue [or green] cheapo cardboard and plastic glasses that most of us are used to seeing. They're more like regular glasses and are comfortable to wear. The remote control's keys are well laid out and can be back lighted at night (a pleasing red color) if you so desire.

Well... that's about it. Obviously I'm pleased with my purchase and would have no problem recommending this fairly large-screen plasma TV to anyone who is looking for a quality unit!

Ok I guess and can be a better experience if I had 3d

It's not 3D,can't believe this when it said it was! I need someone to tell me what 3D y/c filter is, and why I don't have the setting for 3d when it said I didn't??!! This model tv doesn't have 3d..Do I need something else to get it?? Please reply back???,
