I bought this product to replace a dead laptop I was using. I needed something to surf the web, or use Twitter, or Facebook, that allowed me to leave the ties of a standard desktop computer. When I saw the price, I was smitten with the deal and ordered one.
I have read many reviews of this product, mostly negative, and found them to be not true.
I have found the wireless connectivity to be adequate for my needs. A 4G unit wouldn't work in my home, as we have near non-existent signal here. Yes, Android is a bit slower than what you would get with a Windows computer, but it still works quite well.
I have yet to download any books, but I'm looking forward to doing just that. The tablet works just fine with the 8GB card I have inserted.
The downside is that some of the Apps simply will not work on this device, and it does tend to lose connectivity mysteriously from time to time.
Still, for the money, this is one awesome product, the service from the seller was excellent, and I am quite happy with it!
I purchased this for my daughter for Christmas 2012. I've had my son upgrade and pre-load it with apps that will be helpful and it's been great so far, especially for the money. I also bought a similar PanDigital model and am just as happy with it, especially for the use as an e-reader, which is my purpose for the second purchase. B&N, which it is mainly designed to use on the PanDigital model, has an excellent, large selection of free and low cost books, which makes it a great value. For those looking for a substitute for an iPad...you will be very disappointed. It is what it is, an android tablet. It's slow and many apps will not run properly or at all.
I really like this product...once i got used to navigating to the different things i was ok...i just wish i could view videos or movies...when it said wifi i thought i could do everything when searching the internet...but overall it is a nice tablet, i can take it camping and check email without having to lug arounf my laptop...i am happy with it :-)
items works great. children love to play the games. description kinda miss leading i thought it contained android market but it does not. ablility to add my barnes and noble account good ideal, now i can use this instead of the nook reader and i can get books for the children.
It works fine as a e-reader but other than that it's useless. it only has Android 2.0, most apps are 2.2 or higher.
it will play mp3s but you are better off getting a mp3 player for that. it doesn't play movies, except in MP4 format. unable to use different movie players due to compatibility issues.
