The Palm Treo 755p sports a more compact design than the 700p and is available in two attractive colors. The Palm smart phone has integrated Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel camera, EV-DO support, and adds an instant messaging app, Google Maps for Mobile, and direct push technology. It's a good performer too.
The 755p is a bit pricey and feels bulky and heavy compared to other full QWERTY devices. The device still lacks integrated Wi-Fi, and the camera's picture quality was subpar.
Though it's not a major overhaul of the smart phone, the Palm Treo 755p offers a nice collection of enhancements and solid performance to make it an attractive upgrade.

The good: The Palm Treo 700wx offers more available memory than Verizon's version, the 700w. The Windows Mobile smart phone also has integrated Bluetooth, a 1.3-megapixel camera, and EV-DO support.
The bad: The Palm Treo 700wx lacks integrated Wi-Fi and retains the low-resolution 240x240-pixel display.
The bottom line: The Palm Treo 700wx brings some needed improvements to the Windows Mobile smart phone, such as more memory, but it's still far from perfect.
Review: We're not sure if you've heard, but Sprint is getting its own version of the Palm Treo 700w. OK, we say this with a bit of sarcasm as the specs, the images, heck, even the user manual were leaked all over the Web. But now we can say officially that the Palm Treo 700wx for Sprint is here. The Windows Mobile-based Treo offers a couple of advantages over its Verizon variant, among them increased memory and thus improved performance. In addition, it comes with push e-mail capabilities right out of the box, and you can use it as

The 755P is a heavy-duty phone/PDA with a superior keyboard. It works very well when used to write emails, send and receive text messages, and as a phone (no small thing when compared to the IPhone!). I am a power Outlook 2003 user, and this device allows me to keep my Calendar function (with extensive notes) and Contacts (including numerous sub directories) on the device itself indefinitely. Lots of memory. It won't fill to capacity no matter how many entries you make, as long as you use a memory card for picture and program storage. Only major shortfalls are no GPS and the limited availability of good extra programs written for this phone and its Palm operating system. The CallBlock 2.0 software, available for about $10, is fantastic for screening phone pests you would prefer to avoid.
The Treo 755p is the ultimate (literally, the last) Treo from Palm, and it's the best. Small, pocketable, useful keyboard, awesome messaging and email capabilities, and a wealth of useful utilities that you can run on it. It works as a capable MP3 player (with a $15 4GB SD card), video player (with the Coreplayer software), game machine (with LittleJohn emulators for every classic game system, from Atari through Nintendo, and with PalmMame to emulate the real arcade machines for hundreds of additional games). There are thousands of freeware and commercial pieces of software available to extend the capabilities of this this amazing phone. Of course, it has a wonderful calendar, memo taking (voice or type away), and handles Word, Excel, PDF, JPEG, and other files with ease. As a phone, it works great, and it has a built in camera and also takes competent camcorder footage. The included web browser is serviceable, although clunky for serious work. It is great for a quick movie lookup at the IMDB or to grab my gmail (if I don't want to use Palm's own email client, also included). I have a GPS unit that works with this and TomTom's Navigator software to provide turn-by-turn mapping, and GoogleMaps is also included.
Of course, they quit making them. Pick one up, find a geek who will hot rod it with software for you, and enjoy it for the next few years. Stay a generation behind the bleeding edge and enjoy the greatest tech on earth (from 2007).
Granted, it is not the latest Windows Mobile phone available on the market. It does not have built in Wi-Fi or full GPS, however you can add them inexpensively. It is built very solid and is comfortable to operate in hand. It does have Bluetooth, IRDA and a very convenient standard size SD card slot. The batteries and accessories are very economical to purchase on eBay. There are hundreds of software apps which are FREE or very cheap for the Windows Mobile 5 OS. I bought a used unit on eBay and have been very satisfied with the 700WX performance. The cost of the 700WX and various accessories was quite economical. I did not have to extend my current Sprint service with a 2 year contract or spend hundreds of dollars, but I have Sprint's EV (3G) speed to web browse. The advantage of buying a phone that was introduced 3 years ago is apparent in the low cost and extensive 3rd party support for accessories and software apps. If you have money to burn you can buy a newer phone, but new phones do not surf the web any faster than the 700WX.
I love this phone, it gets the job done and is easy to text with. I had a Palm 700p and it worked great after having it so long, it never froze or gave me problems but the antenna gave me problems and looked too big.Eventually the bulky thing just fell off, leaving me with a perfectly good phone and no service. So when i saw they had one just like it but instead it was without the antenna and improved interface, i was searching all over ebay for it. If your a big texter, this is good for you, it has a good battery and the only bad thing i can say is con, is that you need an adapter for the micro sd/memory card but other than that, love this phone compared to the instinct i had also. Overall great phone.
