Overall I would definitely recommend this phone.

Technology is always hard to rate because everyone's tastes for tech are different. The Palm Pre Plus is turning out to be an awesome handset. I had some initial problems - keys sticking, headset audio not working - that have by and large been resolved by reloading WebOS (1.4.5) and a quick trip to the VZ store. It was a bear to get this phone to sync with my company's exchange server, mainly due to the need for me to manually download and install the SSL security certificate. I finally accomplished that with the help of Firefox and the Pre's certificate manager.

Pros:
- Excellent graphics
- WebOS interface is a dream
- Touch-screen is very responsive
- It's a Palm
* Unfortunately I think HP is doing away with the Palm name
* I'm an original Palm Pilot user
- Great support community at Pre Central

Cons:
- High maintenance initially to get everything working right
- My handset cannot be upgraded to WebOS 2.0
- Light on apps right now

- Certificate management for MS Exchange is manual

The Palm Pre Plus is a great phone that everyone should consider.

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I fell in love with WebOS using a Palm Pixi, but it lacked the power that I would have liked in the CPU and RAM. With more power inside, the Palm Pre Plus helped me to love WebOS even more when I saw how smoothly it ran on the phone. I love the multitasking that WebOS allows, and with more RAM, you can have several applications open at the same time and still run smoothly. The only downside is that in order to access the App Catalog, you have to activate the phone, something that I can't do, because Verizon will make you add a data plan if you are using a smartphone, regardless of whether or not the phone is under contract. Also, the App Catalog is smaller than for Android or iOS devices, but that more affects the less popular apps, as the most popular are still in the WebOS catalog.

Overall a pretty SMART phone

I upgraded to the Palm Pre Plus, 5 months ago and I absolutely love it. The convience of having the internet on the go is invaluable. I appreciate the real time email connectivity while trying to stay on top of family life and employment seeking. Integrated contacts and calendars are amazing. The WiFi hot spot feature gives 5GB of internet per month (no extra charge) included with the $30 monthly data package that's required to use a Verizon smartphone.

I do have mild frustration with limited battery life and the WebOS operating system's lack of compatibility with the Flash Player platform used on many web sites. My guess is with a new WebOS version upcoming, the current version will never be Flash compatible.

Overall I think this is a great phone and would buy another.

Good phone for the $

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I purchased this phone to get me through till my upgrade with Verizon was available cause the prior Samsung phone I had bought was horrible and couldnt take it anymore. For the money I paid for this phone it was well worth it. I havent had any problems with it. It was easy to figure out and the system never lags. Which is a huge plus to me. The only things I can complain about is if you have to shut down the phone and restart it, it takes a good 5 minutes till it powers back on, and the battery life isnt very good, but I use my phone quite a bit through out the day. Overall for the $150 I paid it was well worth it.

It works great!!

Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

I'd have rated it 5 on the value but with the short battery life thats about the only drawback that Ive found in almost a year of use.
I dropped it in the river in the spring but luckily it came as great as ever.
I like the mobile hotspot as Ive never seen that an any other phones and its very handy.
A little short on apps but thats not why I bought it anyway so no big deal there. I'm sure there will be more soon as the HP touch pad is out.
I really enjoy the calender and how it syncs up well with gmail, ical etc. I had some issues with Password recently Ive been working on getting that fixed.
The social networking on this phone is a snap. I like the messaging feature that shows a little bubble when a message comes thru. Its very similar in alot of ways to an iphone with everything touchscreen and the ease of use is amazing. I like that it comes with a qwerty keyboard as Ive found from experience what its like if your touchscreen has a brain freeze or doesn't work.
It uses pdfs and google docs with ease as well. The web surfing works great and I've only had it disconnect on me a few times. Restarting it usually solves that though.
Shooting Video and posting it is easy.
The only con I can see is the short battery life but you can pick up extras cheap and like a laptop swap it out before the data is lost. There's a great charger for the batteries that I found on Amazon you can have one charging while your using the other.
