I love this phone! I love the pinch and zoom, discard ap cards , wifi is so easy to use; finds your router in seconds; took a while to find "launcher" in the upper left corner for preferences and the bottom right corner has an arrow to open up all aps. This is the only phone that has no problems with page plus! This will be my last phone I think. The only negative is the small letters in the calendar view. But, if you tap it, it becomes large, so no problems. So lightweight, like nothing in the hand; the phone will turn off in seconds without use and you have to turn on again and swipe to unlock it. No problems there. Turn pages in calendar view w/ swipe like a book; no sd card but I went to amazon and purchased a couple of songs for .99 cents. Not important to me but ringtones are nice and deep too. I miss voice activation but I will let that go. I just purchased the magnetic docking station and that should be so much fun. No cords? Wow. Just purchase a magnetic back door for $5 and a round dock for $5 and sit the phone on the dock & it charges. If it rings, just say hello w/ speakerphone or pick up for privacy. Bluetooth works great; can keep it on all the time and turn off the headset. I use Verizon earpiece. Set up your phone when you get it and the aps on the bottom will go there, email, text, phone. The arrow opens up all aps. Sound will go off if you don't watch it. On the right upper side, push forward or you won't hear anything. Check it now and then. Very professional little phone; very thin and 2 weeks standby time or 5 hours of talk time. Can't wait to get my charging dock. So easy and cases are fun for it. I purchased the pink zip around case w/ wristlet and a high gloss fushia gel skin; easy on/off. Love it as you can tell. Games include Angry Birds; hardly uses any data; love that! I like watching Chayanne on youtube and you can buy tickets on this phone. Tells you the cost, shows you the layout of seating, and the stage w/ plenty of time forward to make reservations. Have never used such a nice phone with impecable voice quality. Remember to pinch tight, flick away, or pinch and widen to see larger print.
The front of the phone is home to its 2.6-inch 400×320 resolution capacitive touch screen which also supports multi-touch input for zooming. Below the display there’s a small gesture area which you can use too move forwards or backwards through menus. The back of the phone is matte black in color and has a smooth rubber finish that offers a good grip. You can replace it with a series of colorful battery covers, though it is a bit hard to take off. The phone’s 2-megapixel camera and single LED flash are also on the back. Two volume buttons, a silencer button, and a microUSB hatch are on the right side of the device and its 3.5mm headphone jack and power button reside on the top.
So my motorola droid finally crapped out on me and I had to buy a new phone to replace it. Figured id scour ebay for one and i came across this phone for $48. At first ill admit I was skeptical..a phone that cheap brand new. I looked at some reviews on youtube and across here and everything I read said it was the bet bang for your back and ill have to admit im really impressed. Its a step down from my Droid but im quite surprised. Yes it has its flaws like a smaller keyboard you def have to get used to(which didnt take long for me and i dont have dainty hands). The camera quality is nowhere near what im used to, but it adequate enough for quick pictures and fun ones. Sometimes itll lag which is mostly when i have a few cards opened up. But at 48 bucks brand new, you cant really go wrong. If your in depth with apps then eh you might be disappointed. The market on here is mediocre at best though it does have the normal facebook app, some twitter apps and even Pandora radio(the facebook app is quite a surprise in a good way). The battery life for me has always been pretty good and I use Pandora quite a bit but still id recommend charging it every night if you can. The internet is quite peppy for how small the processor is esp if you use its Wi-Fi capabilities. The call quality could be better ill admit but it does its job. The overall WEBos is really easy and simple to get used to. I really love the gesture bar underneath the screen to navigate around. This phone is def a quality phone for how much you pay for and will def surprise you. Id easily recommend it to anyone looking for a quick replacement under budget.
Okay I had to update my review after using this Palm Pixi Plus for a month. This phone has video, and camera with optional flash (flash tends to give ppl red eye tho) and loads of available free apps for the cheapskates like me on the webos website. Or just download them directly to your phone from the app store pre loaded on your phone. now I finally got that wifi thing worked out. and I love it. this phone has an EXCELLENT email feature. email, text messages, or voicemail notices show up on the bottom of the screen as little icons you just tap on it to open the "card". They call the little windows "cards" b/c thats what they look like. lets say you open up an app, but then change your mind or need to look up something without closing your app. simply tap on it and it shrinks down to a "card" size to make room for the new window you just opened up. I love that feature! You can have your calculator, calander, email, and address book open all at once. You dont use a stylus for this phone. Your finger works just fine. I don't like the amount of time it takes for a new 'card" to open up but I do realize we are in an "I want it yesterday" world which is completely unrealistic, so I've tried to calm down my impatience and realize only a few months ago I was taking 30 seconds to to get a book out of my bag and write in a notebook so I think I can wait 5 seconds for this. ;) I love the keyboard and when you make a call you can use the keypad thats on screen or the qwerty. This phone rocks. The only complaint I'd have with it is that the battery life isn't as great as the phone! By the end of my workday, after playing a few games and minimal texting, I have about 30-40 percent battery left. Im going to get the touchstone charger and keep it in my bag because even with the not so hot battery life, the pixi is great for me. this phone has the option of attaching a rubberized back which you need to place on the touchstone (looks like a hockey puck) and it charges via magnetic something or other. anyway you don't have to plug the phone in. so this little baby is great for me at work. I think I've become an HP user for life. Inexpensive, sleek to hold, has all the dodads everybody wants. I'm sold. I went to a cricket store (prepaid wireless place) and the owner told me my phone was xtra nice. I took this phone to a prepaid wireless spot and only pay 45 a month for the same service others pay verizon 100 for. Now I love Iphone. I just won't pay 500 bucks for one. However with this phone, I don't feel like I'm missing out. In fact, as my first smartphone, I feel like I'm way smarter than some Iphone users. I didn't toss $$ in the trash over an OVERpriced toy...nope! I paid $40 for this baby... and its worth EVERY CENT AND MORE. :)
Overall good value for entry level smartphone. Allows you to get in without contract and enjoy the internet and email access and GPS. Good screen resolution. Phone is very small which I like. Apps are more limited than Android and iPhone, but with no contract and a $40.00 phone price...this is less than 1/10 the overall cost of iphones and android devices.
