If you are into UFC, IFL, K-1, or MMA in general...then this is a 'must have' set. This 5 disc set features some of the 'greats' in some of their best matches from the earlier days of Pride. The 1st disc is from Pride 17 (Championship Chaos) and has Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in his very first match at Pride. Also included are Wanderlei "Axe Murderer" Silva vs Japan superstar, Kazushi Sakuraba. Plus matches with Dan Henderson vs Brazilian superstar, Murilo "Ninja" Rua. Also featured are Renzo Gracie, Igor Vovchanchyn, Antonio "Minotaur" Rodrigo and more. There is not a dull match on the card. Runtime is 160 mins with 8 great matches...
2nd disc is Pride 18 ~ "Cold Fury" which was the followup to Pride 17 and featured "Rampage" Jackson in his 2nd appearance. Also included is the "Axe Murderer" Silva, Valentin Overeem, Igor Vovchanchyn, Jeremy Horn and others. Another great event with 7 matches. Runtime 162 min.
3rd disc is Pride 20 ~ "Armed and Ready"..Again the usual suspects from previous 2 events with some newcomers added..like the monster Bob Sapp, Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic and Ricardo Arona... 7 great matches. Runtime 170m
4th disc is Pride 21 ~ "Demolition"...This was a huge event featuring Don "Predator" Frye, Bob Sapp, Fedor Emelianenko, Gary "Big Daddy" Goodridge, Renzo Gracie, Anderson "Spider" Silva, Jeremy Horn, Gilbert Yvel and others.. 8 killer matches ~ runtime 178
5th disc is Pride 22 ~ "Beasts From The East". This perhaps the best of the events (but all are great) features Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, who by now has captured everyone's attention at Pride. Along with Igor Vovchanchyn, Guy Mezger, Heath "Crazy Horse" Herring, Kevin "The Monster" Randleman, Ryan Gracie, Paulo Filho, Akira Shoji and more... * hard fought matches. Runtime156m
Overall...this is a great 5 disc set that I highly recommend. If you are into MMA and want to see some fantastic matches of some of the greats of the sport..then buy this set right away...you won't be disappointed.

The Japanese version of the Ultimate Fighting Championship,this dvd offers todays mixed martial arts fan a wide variety of fighters and fighting styles.Extremely entertaining, The American fan would recognize some of the combatants such as Chuck Lidell,Rampage Quentin Jackson and Vanderlei Silva.

This is way more exciting than UFC and you can get it on ebay for less than $5 an event if you buy the box set. Shows early Wanderlei Silva and Dan Henderson, Sakuraba, Nogueira brothers, Rampage Jackson, and Fedor, Crocop. All together it's a good volume. I'd highly recommend getting it.

This is for the hardcore MMA fans and the people who are new and taking an interest in the sport for the first time alike. You get to see legends of the sport some in there MMA debut others in the prime of their career it is like a blast from the past and just an absolute great buy. Also great commentary from a knowledgable source, gentlemen and a great fighter himself in Bas Rutten who is always a riot and is 100% honest in every thing he says and holds nothing back making the fights just that more fun to watch. If you want to give someone a present or just want to see some of the best fights and fighters this is the set to purchase.

this is a great dvd... all my favorite fighters. wand, fedor, anderson silva, hendo, big nog, cro cop and more. exactly what i wanted.
